So some guy over on the Junction posted that according to his sources there will be no change regarding Woody.

Let me say that if Byrne doesn't force Croom to change OC's then Byrne and Croom need to be run off.

I'm guessing that you are saying that he will back as in next year as opposed to next week?

They may not have talked about getting rid of him right now, but I would find it hard to believe that there won't be any changes with our staff at the end of the year- especially after Ole Miss beats us 7-3 because we can't score.

No way something won't be done during the off season, unless we somehow win out. And I can't see that happening.

Yes, meaning next year. I find it hard to beleive that Croom makes a change mid year unless it comes during the off week.

wether its from retiring for medical reasons or GB has to drop the hammer. There have been too many chances to improve offensively and we haven't. Unless we out score St. Mary's School for Adolesent Blind Girls, Woody will be gone.

and nothing is changed on the offensive side of the ball, my faith in Byrne on changing things will be lost.

and he won't be the last if there are no changes in the OC position and we continue to play the same way on offense for our final 4 games (actually i don't think woody would be here if we won all for by 3 TDs each).

byrne has to continue with his actions to change the way the athletic department operates. he has set a standard and when he starts acting like the old guard people will notice very quickly.

Fixed that for you...if we can't score the only way to get points on the board is to have OM do it for us...hence, the safety.

But let's give Byrne a chance before we even start thinking about that. There's really nothing he should be doing or saying publicly during the season anyway. I am sure Byrne will force a change at the end of the season if Crxxm/McCorvey don't do it voluntarily.

and I love me some Byrne. But at the same time, a change needs to be made if we don't start to produce. I am perfectly fine with the WCO if we score 25 pts a game.

Well unless we have all the buyout money ready, it will be hard to force Crooms hand....
He is one stubborn SOB and Woody is his boy..
I can see Byrne giving Crooms one more year with or without Woody...
If he wants to go out that way it will be even easier to fire him after next season..

...how many of you really and truly believe the game plan for MTSU was McCorvey's or Croom's? I don't think it was Felker's either. I think someone else is helping them. We passed on first down more in that game than we had in all the previous games. I think we may have a consulting relationship with someone....

All Byrne has to do (and definitely should do) if Crxxm refuses to fire is tell Crxxm either you fire him or I will. If Crxxm gets pissed and walks (I can only hope), we don't owe him a dime because he's the one who terminated the contract, not us.

Who else would be helping Croom and Woody out? If I was a football coach and someone wanted to consult me, I would try to get a job on their staff so that I could at least get some recognition instead of letting those clowns take the credit for my work. Of course, the term "credit" should be used very loosely- we looked pretty lackluster against a MTSU team that we should have hung at least 42 on with little difficulty.
