I noticed that but decided maybe I didn't know enough about catching to comment. That is First baseman to me. But he must have mastered it

It's not ideal, unless you're really quick and most 6-5 guys are not.

There was a push for a while for 'athletic' catchers and that makes sense I suppose but there's no advantage to being tall at that position.

Just throw to 2nd from the knees, right? Maybe a lil less hum on the ball but maybe faster than hopping up to a height or 6-5 and then throwing to second.

Main claim to fame, longest last name in MLB history. I do not recognize the hyphenated one they now call the longest. That's cheating, plain and simple.
I worked for the mbraves the summer he was there. Dude was lazy as hell. Always complaining about workouts etc he had no drive just talent
