Sellouts leading to Stadium Expansion..

Says we're looking to add 5-7,000 seats in 18 to 24 months. We've contacted a firm out of Kansas City.

5-7K? That seems low to me. That would still keep us under 65K. I have a finance back ground, so that small number of seats seems like a huge cost for not very much added income. The only way we can get around that is if these seats are very high dollar seats.

Also, remember that we'll lose the end zone bleachers in the expansion. This will still put our capacity at about 62,000-63,000, which is about right for us right now. Stricklin has previously said that the ultimate plan is to have a capacity of about 75,000.

I'm more interested in improving the aesthetics/function of the place and being able to keep sound near the playing surface. I don't want to risk expanding too much and not be able to fill it up every week. If we err on the low side and are leaving money on the table, we can always just raise ticket prices. That's a much better scenario than being house poor and having a 80% filled stadium.

5-7k is a phase 1 number, not the complete project.

i'm ok with all that. The season tickets didnt seel out til close to the season and you dont want to have a bunch of empty seats and have the mindset that someone can just show up to the game and get tickets easy and cheap
