Just wanted to say that I am amazed at the hospitality that I have experienced in Starkville. I am am a lifelong Hog fan--currently living/teaching in Boston--and have had the opportunity to attend the last two games that the Hogs played in Starkville. After the first game that I attended, I left the stadium convinced that the folks by whom I sat were some of the nicest people that I had ever met at any away game. After my experience last weekend, I am now convinced that your fan base is incredible. Thank you for your hospitality, and I am now a State fan. While I am sure that it will take a few years of ups and downs for me to really embrace the culture of State--it may never totally happen, since I think that real allegiances are nurtured from youth--I am certain that I will forever pull for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and my Hogs (a dilemma will follow!).<div>

Sarcasm is not a problem--I live in Boston! Who knew that the word "Yankee" could be considered a compliment? These people embrace the word like a badge of honor--had to get used to their pseudo-sarcasm. Nice to deal with people from back home.

Thanks for the kind words.

Just remember that satire is thick here, as is smartassedness. Never take anything here personally either.

Welcome!! Were you the guy with the funny looking northerner jacket on that sat by me (the guy who got cussed out by the lady for saying elliot plays like a girl). If so, it was a pleasure watching the game with you as well.....
