Just curious. I don't remember our season ever being promising. The again, I did see some of our fans drinking Kool-Aid that I never could see in the first place.

As EAV said, having issues may take us from NIT to not in the NIT. Darn.

not sure what an athletic dorm would have prevented. i knew kids with drug paraphernalia in the freshman dorms. also, when these athletes still have the option of living in the dorms or taking the dorm money and applying it towards an apt where they can have their own room and more space, most would take the money and their own room after freshman year.

A win there and Ole Miss would have been 10-1 with an RPI likely in the 20's at the time. Downplay it all you want but that was promising in my book.

over the yrs, banning ath dorms is probably the biggest. not only in terms of damage to the programs but in terms of risk and damage to the kids themselves and their futures. 17ing idiots.

at least an adult who lived in and/or monitored the dorms closely. totally different from just a regular student dorm. there are 60 yr old men who still cringe at the mention of wobble davidson today, with good reason.

was mainly responsible for that decision. Why everyone thought he was such a great person to begin is puzzling.

Their once promising season is going down the crapper in hurry.

Nelson is just a pot head. They have much bigger 'issues' with Jelan Kendrick. He has only been eligible for five games now and AK has already had to sit him twice.

Holloway, high ankle + Kendrick, head case + Nelson, drug arrest = train wreck

I doubt that there was any athletic dorm in the country back then that didn't have drug paraphernalia in it though. My question is, how in the hell do you get arrested for posession of drug paraphernalia IN YOUR HOME?

A lot of talent, but comes with a lot of baggage and is going to miss a lot of games in their career. Difference is, Sidney seems to basically be a good kid with some motivation/fitness/eligibility issues. Kendrick is just bad news. It's pretty hard to get booted off Memphis State's team.

They want to get paid and be treated like me. Hell if they screw up let them pay for the consequence.

We were sneaking by against bad basketball teams. I wasn't fooled. Some of our fans were fooled, but I never saw anything that looked like more than NIT caliber play, not once, and you can't point out a game where we looked like an NCAA team all year.

Our RPI was inflated. Only the morons didn't know it.

My point was you could see our flaws.

Depaul sucks. Penn State sucks. Miami is mediocre. We needed fierce rallies to defeat those teams. We haven't looked good all year. We finally ran into some teams that still weren't good but were a little better than the crap we had been playing, and we started losing.

I have been saying NIT since before the season, and nothing I saw so far has changed that opinion, other than to make me doubt whether we'll even do well enough to make the NIT, which would be a huge heartbreaker and all.

A few points...

Kendrick was no where NEAR as highly rated or talented as Sidney

How do you know Sidney is a good kid and Kendrick is bad news?

Kendrick was booted by a coach who wouldn't allow him to fight teammates... Sidney would be gone too if that were the case.

I'm not sure if Kendrick will ever work out at OM.

I think are issues all start with AK and the general lack of respect the players have for him and his staff. It's hard to overcome that

not as highly rated as Sidney. I have no idea how good he really is because I've never seen him play.

All indications are that the Sidney-Bailey fight was started by Bailey.

Kendrick got kickedout ofMemphis for a lot more than just one fight.

No idea if Kendrick will work out or not at UM. No idea if Sidney will ever live up to the hype at MSU either.

I think there's a lot of truth to this for both Kennedy and Stansbury.
