That's the problem with college football. There needs to be a program spending limit on coaching salaries, facilities, etc. Competition should be taking place on the field, not off it.You are asking players where they want to play for the next 3-5 years.
Have to show them something better than your competition.
Like walking into a trailer compared to a mansion.
Where would you rather be at

It's a problem because we're talking about a sport, not a facility pageant. People don't love college football because of how much a program spends on facilities they never get to use or the ridiculous salaries coaches get paid. Which programs are always at the upper echelon of college football? The blue-bloods, AKA, the ones that spend the most. Do you like money dictating which blue-blood is going to get to be the best program in the country? Why even bother playing the games? Just hand the national championship trophy to the program that spends the most. Not sure why you'd rather see off-field competition instead of better on-field competition. So many wasted games between teams that aren't evenly matched thanks to so much greed in the sport. How is that a problem?
Competition is mainly off the field in the sport...
How the sport was created with recruiting. Schools compete in everything.
Why people love college football

Things in life aren't fair....
You have two choices.
1) Whine about it and beg for change
2) Get your *** in gear and change your situation
WVU is looking to change their situation. Have to respect that.
I don't know why some of their fans want to complain..if you are a fan of WVU you should see what they are doing and say that is how things get handled.
Because football has always been about money. Since day one. It is ingrained into the sport. What makes CFB what it is.
Football hasn't always been about the money. See Don Nehlen's complaint about how much coaches get paid today compared to when he coached. There's no comparison whatsoever to the amount of money being spent on college football today compared to several decades ago. It's past the point of absurd. The NCAA has an opportunity to make competition more fair by implementing a spending cap on programs. Your argument about life not being fair doesn't even apply here as the NCAA COULD make competition more fair by changing the rules. Greed in college football is running rampant and the NCAA needs to step in to help level the playing field. Football is about athletic competition, not money. No competition, no football. They go hand in hand. Money, beyond the basics necessary to field a team, is not required.
