I was there that night, first play of the game, Terrell roasts them for the TD. Even though we lost, it was an incredible game to witness.

LSU guy fumbled on about the three on his way into the endzone, it went out the back, and he was awarded a td. There's a good photo of it somewhere, but I'm not going to look for it.

the maroon helmets and white facemasks. I could give a **** about logos or uniforms or whatever, as long as they are the dark maroon with maroon helmets and white facemasks.

I had forgotten. I never understood why folks hated Sparky Woods. ****, I'd trade Woody for him right now.

</p>Sparky put up a lot of offense. Boneheaded calls at times, but we aren't close to the numbers we had back then on offense.

All maroon, the right maroon, dark maroon, no stripes, with the nike interlocking MSU. Someone please send this to Byrne. I would take that logo over the baseball logo. I think I like the current jerseys better though. I would have to see them side by side to be sure.

...had as good or better vision as any RB we've ever had. He knew when and where to cut, which direction to run, etc. And hit the LOS at full speed. AD should watch game film on DM.

....where we were sitting in the southeast corner of the LSU endzone, it looked like Grindle was running directly at us.

Any chance you have a video of the Norwood run at Alabama in 2004? I've been tryin to find that thing everywhere.

Did anyone else used to get a big kick out of that shoulder pad shuffle that some of our players would do after big plays? ....Dicenzo does it on his dive play

I remember going to that game with absolutely NO doubt in my mind that we were going to win.

we did score more legitimate points in regulation than LSU did. The final score (everything else being unchanged about the game) should have been 40-31 State over LSU.

why some folks like to hear Jack call a game. It was nice when he had some emotion. Compare those calls with Derreck's punt return against UM

The uniforms. The playmakers on both sides of the ball. The attacking JLD defense made effective by lock-down corners. Damn, I miss that. Seeing all that just about makes me forget about 2001-2003.

That maroon uniform w/ maroon helmets is certainly remembered as ***-kicking Sherrill teams. The white flying M uniform by contrast seems like a line of demarcation between the good era & that bad era (even though it actually started 3 years into the bad era). Perhaps its because that uniform is as uninspiring as the team has been awful (2004-2006).

I liked 8 wins and a bowl game as much as anybody in 2007. But the flying M uni is like that girl you should have never dated. Just make it stop. Give me my maroon. Maroon wool grows better.

Who the hell is Larry Huntington? I don't even remember this guy, but by the looks of it he was a good pass catching RB

Secondly, I forgot why I loooooved Dicenzo Miller so much as a player. That guy had great balance and shiftiness for 4.6/4.7 running back.

Thirdly, given enough time Madkin had the ability to find receivers and hit them in stride -- something we have yet to see this decade (either from the OL or the QB). I think Carroll is as tough as Madkin was, but I don't know if he could've made those throws if he were on that team. My biggest fear is that the OL reverts back to '06 form and we're unable to give Wes the time he needs to make his reads. Maybe an improved running game will take a little bit of the pressure off of him.

Never get tired of watching those videos, God, I'm so tired of 100+ ranked offenses. Madkin looks better each time I watch a clip. He would make some mistakes but he sure could make some beautiful plays.
