Confirming what everyone already thought.

"Lyles insists Oregon did not make a direct request or payment to steer recruits to Eugene. However, he now says Oregon did not pay him for his work as a traditional scout, but for his influence with top recruits and their families and his ability to usher prospects through the signing and eligibility process. That dual role as mentor to prospects and paid contractor to Oregon is believed to be a focus of the NCAA probe."

Time for them to do their job or shut it down. Now we`ve had a BCS title game that we knowboth teams openly cheated their asses off to get to. I`ll guarantee you they`ll put more emphasis on figuring outwhether Cohen practiced his team too much than this.

to write these pieces on Oregon, Ohio State, Auburn, etc... At least they are getting the public's focus on the underlying issues that the NCAA continues to cover up from the public. I think the NCAA deserves all the public bashing they can get and these articles are a good way to open the eyes of the public.

And it is all their fault for sitting on their hands and letting it get out of control while they kick back and watch the money flow in. Now the perfect storm has come about were both teams in the BCS have black eyes, they allowed players to play in the sugar bowl that they KNEW were guilty on infractions, You have TN under investigation for all three major men's sports, and even media darling Boise State has the NCAA on campus. <div>
</div><div>And all of this has been coming to a head while the NCAA was trying to be politically correct and banning Indian mascots.</div><div>
</div><div>Cheating has become so elaborate i fear that whatever college oversight board, if it's not the NCAA, will have to have just enough govt oversight to gain some type of suponea and summons power.</div>
