I imagine McMaster is probably a friend of the Thurmond family. I hope Strom Jr. will be a good representative of the alumni. I thought he or Paul would enter politics, but it looks like they have decided not to follow after their father. (I bet the renaming of the Strom Thurmond Wellness Center will be dropped.)

Absolutely, and especially if I am accomplished myself which I am sure he is.

My half-complaint is that his name is probably all that was taken into consideration. The Board of Trustees have done more harm than good to USC athletics over the years and with good ole boy decisions it will continue.
