He couldn’t stand high gas prices, so apparently he’s quite happy the party that has tried to eliminate gas appliances, shut down the Keystone XL pipeline, shut down oil refineries and made it extremely difficult to build new ones is going to be in power to lower gas prices.
Keep telling yourselves this was about gas prices.

The GOP let a wolf in sheep’s clothing take over the party. In the end, he acted just like a Democrat. Offered people a payout if they just voted the way he wanted them to.

The Dems are doing the same thing. Putting people in office that hate America, and want to destroy us from within.

This is what happens when neither party has values they stick to. We have raced to zero and now each party elects the least terrible candidate, instead of great candidates.

Well done GOP. You abandoned all your values for Trump. Now you are going to see even worse values become mainstream.

And you are here blaming us, the people that told you it was happening.

2 laws passed in Colorado, one restricting female sports to biological females and the other shutting down sex change surgeries in minors.

The new Governor decided one of his first tasks will be adjusting those laws. Don’t believe Dems when they say this is a topic they don’t care about. They want trans kids in girls sports, and think we should continue neutering kids.

And they want to make sure fentanyl users are on the streets, not in prison.

I was told I need to self reflect on the election results. I am the poster that correctly pointed out to him before the election results were in, history says the GOP will lose. Not a very attentive poster or just a dim bulb 🤷‍♂️

Here is what I posted to him him at 1:50 Tuesday.
You do realize the party in power historically loses the midterms? They are the underdog before it is ever thought of.

Rill, this is talking a bit in circles. It is easy to get caught arguing with your own stance. This is especially common with independents.

You appear to blame MAGA voters for Trump and his poor primary candidates. In the next breath, you blame the people here that say voters(including ones on here) for being part of the problem.

Throughout history people have been duped into really stupid leaders that have wreaked havoc on their country and others. This is not new.

Of course, I chose to pick a side here and criticize the others. As you correctly pointed out, one party appears to hate America and wants to destroy us from within. I am a hard stop right there. What could possibly be more important than that statement?

My God this guy loves Bruce Weber.

Dude, this was a historic beatdown, the worst midterm loss for a party since Watergate.

No self reflection, he wants more crazy and further beatings.

If the GOP wants to be more than a rump party, these are the voters the party needs to alienate.

Everyone saw this coming, but dipstick Chuck.

So laughable, so delusional.

Schumer's position at the top of the Senate Dem ranks will be overwhelmingly affirmed. THERE ARE 55-56 DEMOCRATIC SENATORS.

El Sayed will be a conservative media hit, but is basically an irrelevant figure in the Dem caucus.

He sure didn’t see it coming. He’s a blind, old man. If I have my numbers correct, the sayed schmuck got over 60% of the Jewish vote in Mich. They vote for their own destruction.

You guys know that there will not be meaningful opposition to Schumer as Democratic Majority Leader, correct? You understand this, right?

Dems are going to get a call on winning in Mississippi! Pretty sure Schumer is a hero, not a goat.

Passive Bestgressive is (a) such a coward he's obviously muted me and (b) tries to be reasonable but has voted for at least one fascist challenger in a GOP primary (Paul Nehlen), advocated for Ken Paxton, and now acknowledges voting for whatever loser ran against Greg Abbott in the Texas primary.

He's an extremist who sold post-market extended car warranties (scam) and thinks we should listen to him about business.

How ******* dumb does he think people are? Really dumb is the answer, people apparently buy post-market extended car warranties.

As an example TX has 19 million registered voters. 9.8 million cast votes in the 2026 election cycle. The party that is not in power is historically more motivated than the one that is.

Democrats are going to win in Mississippi, and we got Passive Bestgressive out here calling it a "normal midterm beating."

He thought I was great when I "told the truth" about Weber, now he's so upset he's muted me for telling the truth about his cult leader Trump. What a coward.

Ken Paxton is currently losing 55.1% to 43.0%.

I DON'T THINK IT WAS JUST DEM MOTIVATION.

You idiots got clobbered in Southern suburbs. In many ways that's the final redoubt of Republicans as a truly national political party. And right now ... the party will have to drastically change course to even get those back.

No more Trumps. No Vances. No Tuckers. No racist xenophobes. That's over or the party isn't climbing back for years.

When I voted 3rd party for President years ago (1992) it wasn’t for the 3rd Party. It was against 41. I had enough of his “new world order” and how out of sync he was with the common folks. When I voted 3rd Party in 2016, I disliked Trump taking all the oxygen of the debate stage. I thought the Republicans were weak as hell. That was the first and only time I crossed races down the ballot. It was the only way to get their attention. If people care to pay attention, there were so many lies told about Trump that it’s hard to count them all. He’s a maniac. He’s going to start WWIII, etc. Dems loved Trump. Always. Then he put an R behind his name and well…you get where I’m going. What Vance’s post and all of the election polls (at the polling stations) don’t show is all of the people who stayed home. I think it’s pretty short-sighted to stay home, but frankly why would you vote Republican when they can’t even pass laws in the Senate? Why would you be excited to go vote with Thune and his merry band of subversive establishment Republicans block Trump appointments, don’t codify his popular EO’s, etc? The Republican Party has been a joke since the neocons took it over decades ago. People sat out because they weren’t about to vote Dem, but they were angry with the lack of support for Trump’s agenda in DC, too.

I will also say Trump is a very poor communicator with those who aren’t his base. Do I find him entertaining? Some times. Do I understand what he is doing and why? Yes. I am not his base, but understand numbers very well. He never really explained the economy and all the great things that were happening and why he was doing stuff as he went out on the trail to help other candidates. He screwed up his own coalition to a degree.

Biden was so bad that the GOP candidate was likely going to win. Trump already won office and then lost his 2nd term. The GOP could have won with RDS, Rubio, etc. and got the GOP back on track as the party of values. Instead they went right back to Trump, who had failed once before. He's also 80 now. Why did people think he would do better in his 2nd term? How was he a good long-term choice for the party?
Throughout history people have been duped into really stupid leaders that have wreaked havoc on their country and others. This is not new.

But the GOP always framed itself as the party of values. They weren't easily swayed by the media and celebrities. Then they turned the party over to a celebrity candidate. And now they have a bad reality show in the WH, that has taken a wrecking ball to the GOP.
Of course, I chose to pick a side here and criticize the others. As you correctly pointed out, one party appears to hate America and wants to destroy us from within. I am a hard stop right there. What could possibly be more important than that statement?

I agree with you. I honestly don't understand how the vote was this lopsided, especially in places like Texas and other parts of the south. But this is the game you play when you have a hugely unpopular person leading the party.

Clinton got slaughtered in 1994. Bush 43 got slaughtered in 2006. Barry O got slaughtered in 2010. Recent history says you don’t know history.

Ok, history doesn't dictate how bad the losses could be. At what point do I need to self reflect over that? I voted against a party that wants to destroy America, a country I served and love. Why should I self reflect over that?

Trump’s popularity correlated exactly to the price of gas. True story. Now as to that “party of values” what were those values? Unlimited immigration? Forever wars? Funding USAID? Never bothering to check out fraud in all of the government programs? Decorum while the Democrats always play dirty?

The three amigos of extremism must be entirely ignored by the Republican Party. The base can have one of two things: (a) control of a rump party of idiots or (b) a functioning, winning party where they occasionally get their way and are often ignored. They cannot have both.

They learned nothing from Tuesday, and they will learn nothing from any other debacle. As far as I'm concerned, these people are the absolute enemy to the traditional American right and an absolute ally of the left.

Frankly, people like this must be jettisoned. They claim to hate Democrats, but all they do is facilitate Democratic victories.
