Alright, we all are waiting for Newton to decide where he wants/needs to go, and I do not have all the information on who is looking at him, but I would like to plead the case for the Bulldogs. 1st - Mullen is turning the program around. Everyone can easily seen that this season. Look at what he did with the toughest schedule in college football. 5 wins. That could easily have been 8 wins with Cam running the offense instead of Lee. Next year Cam could take over the position and win those games, instead of getting stopped on the 1 foot line against LSU. 2nd - You would get excellent exposure as the missing piece in Mullen's plan. He needs a big time quarterback to establish his offense. Someone who can play physical and see over the offensive line for the big strikes when defenses start cheating on the run. 2 full years of essentially as guaranteed starter. 3rd- The fan base is already fully behind you. I haven't heard of a single football recruit that has this much promise behind it. The sixpack has been talking about this recruit for months, great coverage and great pride revealed with Cam holding the cowbell during the Egg Bowl. The fan base is getting very excited about this recruit 4th - You would be the man, the player's face for our team.

Good luck with that. Their team is a pro style team. They have three QB's on the roster, all above 6'-3" - Landry Jones (RS Freshman), Drew Allen (Freshman), and Ben Sherrad (RS Freshman). Jones and Allen were highly recruited players. On top of that they have Blake Bell (5 star) coming in. Historically,a Stoops coached OU team turns out slow white QBs that don't do jack **** in the NFL.

If he chooses MSU, he will be the feature guy. Mullen will make him successful. Play in the SEC and dominate the league. </p>

Mack Brown got tired of winning big in the regular season but not winning the national Championship. He got Vince Young, who wasn't as technically sound as other QB's but could put the team on his shoulders. I could see Stoops doing the same thing.

I hate to be critical on Newton as the rumor is he wants to be in a pro style offense. I know his reasoning is NFL, NFL, NFL. So are all his other reasons for picking a team. If he comes to State Mullen may indeed give him some pro style formations, but it's never going to seem that way in the total scheme of things. Newton has always run a spread option type game in his college career. That is his strength. Mullen will be trying to play to his strength to win games. That is the bottom line.

I don't see MSU in a pro style offense, I may be wrong. If it can be done it probably should somewhat because you want to kind of develop that for Tyler Russell some day or maybe some this season.
