I think we should hire Tyrone Nix or Kent Austin. They have obviously done a great job this year, and it would be the best of both worlds: help us and set Ole Miss back.

Does anyone know if these guys are being considered?

His highest ranked defenses have always been during his first year on the job. True at both USM and USC.

Stealing somebody from Ole Miss and considering a black coach sounds good to me. He is a defensive guy but that is our strength, he could hire a good coordinator.

& you probably cried when Tommy Raffo didn't replace Polk.

You need to come to grips with the fact the Larry Templeton era @ MSU has passed into history.

@MSU, what with Byrne in charge now, the era of low self-esteem mediocrity has gone the way of Rebel national championships.

Not only would you have us lowering our standards to someone never considered for a major school head coaching gig (aGAIN), but you consider the impact it has on Ole Miss a valid part of the discussion. State fans need to get over the Ole Miss obsession. I'm convinced most State fans would rather see them lose than us win. Case in point: home games at MSU where we are losing and they show the Ole Miss score on the jumbotron. There's a cheer if losing or a boo if losing. Meanwhile, we are losing, but don't bother MSU fans with that, they are too busy enjoying seeing a score that shows Ole Miss is also losing.

why MSU fans would cheer a score of ole miss losing? Seriously? If fans cheer for that, it means they don't care if we lose or not? I think you are reading a little too much into that.
