If college sports is a paid profession and not amateur athletics, then this must be allowed. Old paradigms just aren’t valid anymore like 4-5 year eligibility limits and rules saying you can’t play professional college athletics because you already turned pro.

I think I would be embarrassed to say I'd played in NBA and then come back to college and inevitably a lot of guys be better than me in college. I just don't get it, other than maybe now you can make good money with NIL.

This is getting stupid. NCAA is going to have to put their foot down and stand their ground.
I am afraid, in these cases, the NCAA winning in court is a tossup...at best. Maybe the school should say, and I think Bruce Pearly brought this up last week in regards to AL...if player X plays, we are walking off the court. Extreme...you bet. But so is playing a player who was drafted / signed / played in the NBA. Someone has to speak up...

A million dollars soothes a lot of embarrassment. Besides, I don’t think moral high ground is very prevalent in the NBA.

Unlimited eligibility (and old dudes coming back) will be the ultimate downfall.

This other stuff is sustainable. Cutting out young players is not. They’ll be less interest ultimately.

Thus far, I’ve been sticking to the belief that if fans can just shield themselves from all the BS going on off the field/court, it’s still the same ol’ college sports once the first whistle blows.

I’ll be damned if they don’t keep pushing this **** to new limits by the week, though. Some aren’t gonna care, especially if you’re a fan of one of the schools with deep pockets. But a lot of fans are gonna care, and they will eventually turn it off. I’m not there, but I’m closer than I was a couple years ago
