I have no idea if he was poached. But I think there was a good chance he was. I'm just not going to turn into a PSU fan where I believe all these guys just show up on the door step. I think if a former AA shows up at your school the coaches wanted them.

But I say that having zero clue how this all went down. Maybe he did just show up and he is getting zero NIL/scholarship money.
I'm not implying he isn't getting paid

He was one of the higher valued targets that was rumored to be going into the portal.

We wouldn’t of taken him and he wouldn’t of come here if both parties felt confident we was going to be a starter here.

The plan is for Jamison to hold 141. They believe he can when healthy. Thats where his size, strength and length give him an advantage.

Why do I think Sakamoto makes the lineup next year? Figs will be a different wrestler than 2024 form.

Why the drop off for Spratley?
Figueroa 8th? I think he has as good a chance as anyone to win it at 133. He is a STUD, just pulling too much weight last year.
So they don't think Hughes or Jamison either one can make 141? R16 is too low for Doucet with everyone leaving that weight.
No finalists at all?

Also I 100% think that Tagen AAs next year. Especially if goes up in weight.

I think 125 will be like last year. One of 12 guys could be the champ and there will be many expected All Americans that don't wrestle on Saturday. The difference in talent is small. Spratley was the fourth seed in the Big 12 last year and only two Big 12 guys AA'd in 2025. That is a tough weight to count on someone returning to the finals again.

I do not think anyone at 125 will be that guy. My gut feeling is the national champion next year will have two or more losses during the year.

Tend to agree. He had some matches this year where he took 1-2 shots. Glad to see game planning for sure! But would love to see a little more offense in the game planning as well.
Haha, he doubled his bonus rate.

This is exactly what I’m talking about with Troy. If he figures out a trick that gets him by head/hands D, he’s a major problem instead of just a big problem for anybody.

Absolutely. Awesome seeing him improve and excel this past season!

JD's predictions (Flo) are fun to look at but he's way off on putting Jamison at 157. Thats absolutely not happening. This year isnt to hard to figure out imo.
I will say, Tagen looks big right now, as far as muscle. I am with you on it though, too many 57 guys that have a lot of length on him.

I heard the whole Dual championship is considered one event for red shirt. So, hopefully we see Landon in that event. To see how he is against some good competition. We might see some of the best in Tulsa. Shapiro, Andrell, Hipalito, Maybe Caliendo.

That's correct for any/every tournament.

My money is on Robideau getting the start and just being the guy. He's ready.

Willie on Baschamania said hearing Dee considering 157. Said he is not reporting Dee will be at 157 but said it is being considered. If that ends up being the case he thinks could be facundo 165, Ryder 174, and Brayden 184
I believe that scenario. Dee isn’t a big cut away from 57. Facundo is another story! Him getting to 57 was too much and 65 isn’t easy.

Don’t know much on Ryders weight situation and Brayden needs to catch the nutrition directives a little better.

But, that appears to be our optimal lineup.
