NFL Championship Sunday Predictions

I know we have a thread about the Panthers going now, and it's not my intent to stymie that one....but I think we should hear some predictions, and/or get some talk going about it. I know for many NFL, like myself, this is as good of a weekend there is for football.

I think the Patriots beat the Broncos. I like Denver's defense, but I think they rely a lot on athleticism to be really good moreso than structure. It seems like a recipe for success for Brady. I'll say....Patriots 27, Broncos 17.

Carolina has been great all season. If this game had been played six weeks ago when it seemed the Cardinals were clicking on all cylinders I think we'd be in for a great game that could go either way. But I think Arizona has regressed some and the Panthers have proven they're for real and have gotten better. I'll say Panthers 31, Cardinals 24.

I have no idea regarding scores, but I agree about the two winners. Looking like a rematch from SB XXXVIII to me.

My heart is for Manning, but my head says "no way." Also rooting for Carolina, though I think it's a toss-up. I'll go with the Panthers.

I would like to see a team that has never won The Super Bowl win it this year. I'm pulling for the Panthers but it would be ok to see the Cards win it. Also it would be nice to see Peyton get one more shot. OFC

I generally like Brady better than Manning, but I don't have anything against Manning and I have wanted him to get a second ring. Brady has more time left. If it can't be the Panthers, I'd like it to be Manning (I also have family in Colorado who are Broncos fans, so there's that, too). If the Panthers don't get there, I'll be pulling for the AFC.

My Lions are one of only 4 teams who have never even played in a SB. The Texans and Jags haven't existed as long, so the Lions and Browns are the saddest of sacks there.

Well, the Vikings have played in four (winless in all of them)....the last one being in January of '78, or eight months after I was born. Believe it or not, but I don't remember that SB run. So I like to think I've had my share of suffering, as well.

Common sense tells me Patriots & Panthers but I'm a huge Manning fan and part of me says you brings some magic out Sunday so I'm going
Broncos-31 Pats- 28
Panthers game I really don't see them losing no matter what, I'm sure they can but this is our year I believe so
Panthers-35 Cards-21

I pray it's Arizona and Denver, but afraid it's gonna be Patriots and Kitty cats. If that's true, I may not even watch it. Despise both teams.

My head says Panthers and Patriots win.
My heart says Panthers and Broncos win.
I hope my heart is right because if it's the Panthers and Broncos in the Super Bowl and my Panthers don't win then I wouldn't be totally disappointed with the Broncos winning because I've been a Peyton Manning fan since he played for the Vols in college.

I respect the hell out of Belichick but I hope he gets hit by a stray football. Without him, the Patriots are no better than the Eagles, the Chargers, or whatever mediocre franchise you want to put here. Brady is Brady because Belichick is a ruthless genius. If Brady got drafted by the Browns or Dolphins he would have never even played in an AFC Championship game. I truly believe that.

For the record, I am biased by my hatred towards the Pats. But I really think you could put Phillip Rivers or Carson Palmer on the Pats and they would've gotten to at least 4 Super Bowls over the last 15 years.

Skins fan here and can't stand Newton or Brady. I hope it's Zona and Broncs. To me Redskins are the hometown team to me. Grew up watching them long before Carolina came to town.

Zona - 31
Cats - 17

Broncs - 24
Pats - 21

I've been wondering for awhile what the quote unquote age range was for the OFC and after seeing you're post, it looks like I qualify to be part of the OFC because I'm a little older than you but for some reason I thought I was a little younger than you lol

I am from NC but I am definitely pulling for Arizona. I have way too many FB friends and co-workers who are bandwagon Panther fans. Never heard from this except this year and I have been hearing "Keep Pounding" since week 3. Please Arizona beat the Panthers so all these fans will shut up.

Same here. It seems all the stores in Raleigh are selling the Panthers gear and people are buying it like crazy. I always love having the conversation with those people, you know the ones...shirt still has creases and looks like they just bought it. Domt know the coaches name but know Cam. I'm like yep, you became a fan about a week ago. Anyway, I hope Zona wipes that stupid grin off Cam's face.

I'm not a member. Too young. I think you have to be in that 50+ age range or so. But I'm a prospective member.

It's always great when it comes to the very best teams from all season I think. All 4 are great.

Pats panthers in a SB 38 rematch.

Both will be tough match ups. I have no idea how the NFC will go it's gonna be tough.

Someone was keeping track of membership, but I forget who it was. Forgetting things is one of the criteria for membership. Maybe if they read this they can re-post, if they remember.

What's the criteria. I'm afraid to ask. Just turned 48 this month. Been a Dukie for as long as I can remember. I still remember the only way to keep up with the game was a little radio beside pops bed. Been in the triad my whole life.

Sign me up then. When I played little league I tried to mimic a mixture of G-Man, Banks, and Dennard wrapped up in one. Oh yea I also played for the Blue Devils and some ofc's can probably remember UNC alum Jeff Denny, we beat them for the championship that year but at the time he was a Tiger. Great memories

Oh ok I guess I was thinking that I had seen you include OFC in your posts but I must've been mistaken. At least we both know we've still got a little while longer before we're eligible to be members of the official OFC lol

I'm going with Patriots and Panthers.

Patriots to win it all.

I hate to say that as a Giants fan. I have no love for NE, but all that postseason experience pays off. Frankly, I don't care much for the Panthers either, and i cant stand Carson Palmer. I'd rather see the Broncos take it all.

Like DJ said I can wait. I would consider it an honor to be part of the OFC but I'm in no hurry to reach the required age. I'll be happy to remain in the YBC (Young Buck's Club) for a little longer lol
