Latest CBS mock draft has only one QB taken in the first round (Ward) and has Penn Staters going to Giants at 3 (Carter) and Colts at 14 (Warren). Does Sanders show up if he's not guaranteed to be picked in Rd 1? Other notable predictions - Jeanty at 5 (Jags - WTF?) and Steelers take Michigan DL Grant at 21. If both Dart and Sanders are available, any chance the Steelers take one of them?

Definitely a chance that the Steelers take Sanders (reported today that "One rival GM said there's a "40% to 50%" chance Sanders goes to Pittsburgh").

And I really doubt that Warren will be around at 14...a lot of smoke with him coming off the board at 7 to the Jets, but if not, doubt the Bears pass on him at 10.

Merril Hoge on Sanders.
“The best way to sum it up is his a really good college quarterback,” Hoge said. “His accuracy is good. His processing is good. And when I say good, I use a scale of 1 to 10. So good is around five. So if you’re a five in college, okay? Those are the two most important aspects of transitioning to the National Football League and then you build from there. Anticipation, pocket awareness and then we start building. But those two things, if you’re a five, you’re not a first rounder. You’re not a franchise guy.”

"He can’t handle the expectations that are coming his way. He’s gonna be an epic failure, and he is gonna set your organization back another two or three years."

Patriots trade down from #4 to #10 with Chicago. Bears draft Jeanty at #4 and Patriots still get Will Campbell at #10. Book It!

If the Steelers reach for Sanders at 21, then their fans should go on strike.

do not see Jeanty as top 10 not even top 20 pick. I get it running back is back in vogue, but he a day 2 pick up easy. At least in years gone by. There are a lot of guys who do not have round 1 talent getting picked tonight

I watched a lot of CU games. Their offense often looked flag football with Sanders running around waiting for Hunter to get open. Don’t know how that will work in the NFL. Of course the Buffs couldn’t run to save their lives so maybe the idea he could move the offense at all means he is better than I think.

The guys on XM just said Sanders turned some teams off in pre draft interviews. He came off as aloof and disinterested.

On ESPN, they interviewed Cam Ward saying he was a zero star out of HS. In the modern era, I can’t imagine a player going from zero star to #1 overall .

Every running back who is taken before they should be should sincerely thank Saquon!

Bold prediction: Browns crap the bed.

They just made a great trade with Jacksonville, moving down from the #2 pick to the #5 pick, but getting A LOT in return. Browns get the Jaguars' #5 pick in round 1 this year, the Jags' 2th & 4th round picks this year, and the Jags' 1st round pick in 2026

Edit: to clarify a bit:

Browns receive:
Jags R1 pick (#5)
Jags R2 pick (#36)
Jags R4 pick (#126)
Jags 2026 1st round pick

Jags receive:
Browns R1 pick (#2)
Browns R4 pick (#104)*
Browns R6 pick (#200)*

* = I'm not sure if they were the Browns picks, or other picks that the Browns had from prior trades

Yes. I agree. Crazy. He wasn’t recruited out of HS. Went and played DIII..I think? Then Wazzou, Miami…now #1 overall. Gotta respect the underdog. Good for him.

Five year starter in college - won’t see that too often.

After making the trade with the Browns to move up to #2, the Jags pick Travis Hunter, WR (Colorado)
