I don't like it. Thursday nights belong to college football. NFL already has two and sometimes three days of the week.

There's been an NFL game on Thursday nights for two or three years now, carried by the NFL network. Apparently it's just a change of who broadcasts it.

I have no data, but I think the ESPN Thursday night college game is much more popular, so maybe the change from cable/satellite to a major broadcast network is an attempt to change that.

I hate Thursday night games. It's nice after Thanksgiving but it loses it's draw after Week 3.

Is this an indictment on the NFL Network?

I'm a fan of Thursday night NFL. Most of the Thursday college games are crap match ups (and I'm including us vs. UK in that statement) so I'm usually watching the NFL game. It's not just for the jags and browns either; I'm pretty sure all NFL teams have a Thursday game each year and the network has generally used it for divisional matchups to help viewership (Saints @ Falcons and Panthers @ Bucs are two I remember from 2013).

Did nobody watch Peyton throw for damn near 500 yards for his first game as a Bronco this past year? That was on Thursday night.

And simulcasted on NFL Network. Last 8 games are broadcast on NFL Network only but produced by CBS.
