I was born in 1990 and have gone to a lot of games at Williams Brice over the years. I'm interested to hear about some of the players you've seen for opposing teams that came to the Brice and went on to have HOF Careers in the NFL.

The two that come to mind for me are Ryan Mallett and Todd Gurley. Mallett had a cannon. The way the ball came out of his hand was something to see that watching on TV didn’t do justice. Gurley was just a beast. You don’t realize how huge the guy was for a RB until you see him in person.

Dak Prescott.

As far as old, I saw Dan Reeves play here. (Wasn't yet called Williams-Brice yet, though.)

Surprised nobody has mentioned Peyton Manning. Ironically, perhaps the best QB performance I’ve ever seen at WB was Tee Martin in ‘98. I was amazed at how white his uniform still was after the game.

There’s just too many playing in the SEC for so long. Though I’d say one that sticks out because I had no idea this dude (or team) was that good was when Chad Pennington and Marshall rolled into town and won. The other one like that would have to be when Daute Culpepper and UCF came in, but USC won that one fortunately.

Challenging request for me as I haven't paid any attention to who's been added to the NFL HOF for the last 20+ years. I do enjoy the contributions though.

The Rhames kid transferred his senior year in HS from Sumter to Manning..Not exactly sure whats going on with him.

Not too shabby.

I don’t keep with HOF either, but that Miami team I know is considered one of the best of all time

Didn't start following college football in earnest until about 1997, so I missed seeing the sheriff of omaha play in WB. But I did see Chad Pennington play in 1998, this was a week after a rather uninspired effort vs Georgia. After we lost to Marshall I knew we were in for a crummy season that year.

I was interested in seeing answers to your actual question. Only two named so far are/will be HOF. Will reply when I get time to think about it.

Saw Dan Marino with Pitt. Don't think the Cocks laid a hand on him the whole game. But maybe my memory is fading at advance age.

Deion and Leroy Butler from FSU…Michael Irvin, Miami…Fran Tarkenton, UGA…Jack Youngblood, Florida…Sonny Jurgensen, Duke…Lawrence Taylor UNC…Bill Cowher, NC State…Sam Huff, West Virginia….and Chris Hanburger, UNC….Stabler, but game was at Alabama and Notre Dames Montana was on the roster in ‘76, but didn’t make the trip due to a separated shoulder.

Are all those names in the NFL Hall of Fame?

Yeah….I looked it up.

A better question would be the College Hall of Fame players who have played in W-B….not that many Pro Hall of Famers have played in W-B.

Sounds like the beginning of a good list posted by asusc83. I suspect there are many more.

Dan Marino toyed with us here; it was incredible to watch his release and accuracy. We were helpless as babes.

Someone mentioned Chad Pennington; I don’t know if he’s hof but he also worked us effortlessly. It was A thing of beauty to witness.

I saw Dan Marino come to WB in 1981 and carved up our defense so badly that ABC switched the feed to another game after halftime. Also shook his hand at the end of the game in the NW corner of WB. I was a freshman in HS and played LB. At that time, I was sure that I was not going to be big enough to play D1-A college football by the time I finished HS after that meeting.

That 1980 Pitt team that easily handled Carolina with George Rogers in the Gator Bowl was loaded as well.
One of the coldest games I've ever attended, even in Florida.

So are you wanting NFL Players we've witnessed in person or just those who ended up in Canton? If the former, that's a helluva lot of players. The latter list is pretty lengthy as well.

Did anyone say Ike Hilliard? He was special. Garrison Hearst. Didn't Mark Ingram play for the Bama team that Spurrier's boys beat in 2010? I believe he did.

We still haven't tackled Garrison Hearst, kudos for the call out, but that was a rough day and memory.

As far as NFL Hall of Famers, Peyton Manning (Tennessee), Richard Seymour (Georgia), Terrell Davis (Georgia), Champ Bailey (Georgia), and Brian Dawkins are the ones that come to mind.

I know those FSU teams were loaded. Deion for sure in the 80’s. Maybe Leroy Butler as well?

This list will be 3-4 times as long in the next 10-15 years as the SEC has put a ton of talent in the NFL the past 20-25 years.

The very first players I remember seeing were Brian Piccolo and Dan Reeves. I have seen hundreds since and got to know a couple of them.

Mack Strong who besides having a great football name, also ran all over us as well that day, on just a few carries, he played 15 years in the NFL at fullback.

I remember thinking their fullback is faster then our whole defense LOL
