I'll use it in response to this:

a man is sitting on a couch with his eyes closed and says that 's a shame .'s a shame .

I see that Joey Porter is listed as out for today's Steelers game. I don't follow the Steelers as closely as many of you do -- what injury does Porter have?
Hamstring.

I'm getting to the point that I can only watch my favorite team. The rest of the NFL games just seem pedestrian and boring. My interest in the NFL is wavering. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Several years ago I started to realize that I found the average college game more compelling to watch than the average NFL game. However, for some reason I find myself this season with a resurgent interest in spending time watching whatever NFL game is on the TV. I guess it’s because I just like football.

What the hell is Mahomes doing? Twice this half he made a crazy backwards pass while in the grasp. Collinsworth glazing him for recovering the ball but it was his monumentally stupid play to begin with. Their offense looks awful

Abdul Carter had a chance to sack Mahomes at the end of the 1st half but couldn’t bring him down. Mahomes got off a 60+-yard throw. Pass interference gave the Chefs 1st and goal with 7 seconds left in the half. The Chefs kicked a go-ahead field goal to end the half.

9-6, Chefs, at the break.

No but you're not alone. Many say the same thing about the college game. I think there's a lot of bad games (PIT/NE was just awful football) but there's a ton of college games that are "name the score" type games for the favorite. To each their own...NFL REDZONE is amazing though.

With an aging Kelce, he’s got no one to throw to these days. Statistically, they weren’t particularly great on offense last year either. But, they should theoretically get better once they get some receivers back from injury.

wow, a strange thing to post on a day that featured no shortage of great game endings in the NFL.
I'm old....maybe I'm experiencing a little burnout. So...if posting something "strange" is "wow"....blame it on me being old. I still can watch most college games.

Hearing a lot of Penn State on tonight’s Chefs-Giants broadcast. Promotion of the oregon game with mention of the whiteout. Several mentions of Theo Johnson and Abdul Carter being from Penn State.

I hate us.

Yes and been so for a few years. I'm not old either.

I even recorded and watched the Steeler (my favorite team) game much later. I saw about 2 minutes of the KC NYG game and shut it off. Did not look for highlights outside of this thread. Didn't click on many link either.

Just curious what other's thoughts were on the intentional grounding called against Russel Wilson in the 4th qtr. Theo Johnson was on the goal line and Russel threw the ball from the pocket, under duress, about 10 yds over Theo's head, but in a straight line over him. I thought the call was a stretch and a reason why I don't trust the NFL too much.

The fact that two field goal attempts were blocked and returned for TDs at the end of games today, as well as another game featuring a blocked field goal, cinches that!

Interesting, as I blame my own old age as being responsible for sitting and watching more games than I ever have.
When younger I was involved in activities (mostly fishing) that kept me out and about and rarely in front of a TV.
Different Strokes.

There were some amazing games and finishes. Who saw a GB loss coming?

With the NFL you have a better understanding of the various teams. Plus the talent level in the NFL is lights out. Upsets are much more prevalent in the NFL than in CFB. I mean, the Eagles are 3-0 but could easily be 1-2 or 0-3 if not for some dropped passes and blocked field goals.

Ehh...I was rooting for the Giants but I think the call was correct. My issue is that's not consistent with how it's being called.
