Shootings at multiple sites and an explosion at at least one of them. Reports already of up to 18 dead.

Yes, there are at least ten dead. The incidents happened in the 10th and 11th Arrondisements off to the east of Notre Dame.. These are not prime tourist areas, but they are lovely areas and not at all banlieus. One tourist attraction, the Pere Lachise Cemetery (Jim Morrison among others is buried there) is not far away.

P.S. the areas are not far away from where Charlie Hebdo has its main office.
