Sterling at Brooks... An easy second round game. Much like the first round. Which is a baffling question of what team lost to Brooks and made the playoffs. So many other teams out there much more deserving to be in the playoffs. Sterling should win big. And I expect a matchup verse Montini next week. That is if Montini is what they are hyped up to be. Although it would be great to see Sycamore or Sterling representing the conference in the semifinals.

Kaneland at Cary Grove.....oh boy:eek: Kaneland big underdogs but we'll see. Got to be able to score against Cary-Grove. They are going to score. You have to answer. Got to make em punt a few series away. Kaneland has the athletes and if everybody plays a perfect game, we create turnovers and score off them, and Cary-Grove makes some mistakes, we could pull off the upset... Then again not getting blown out and making a game of it would be a small victory.

Sycamore at Montini...... To be honest I haven't seen Montini play. I have heard they're very good and then I've heard they're overrated. Depends who you believe.... Going by past reputation, I'm assuming my TV is good. They both played competitive schedules so it should be a good game. But I'm going with Montini.

Last week DeKalb lost to Lake Zurich. Lake Zurich was improving throughout the year and I believe put in a different quarterback after a few losses... DeKalb was very up-and-dow and I am surprised they lost at home.

Yorkville at Richards.. when the champion of the 6A is talked about it's Richard Phillips and Cary-Grove and Prairie Ridge.... Yorkville needs a similar scenario to kanelands to win.... Score when they score and limit turnovers. They also will have to play their best game.

Brooks brings more athletes than Phoenix did but Sterling should handle it early and often. Another week for Sterling to get healthy.

CG Big over Kaneland- CG is a much better version of Rochelle and has seen better teams along the way. Could get ugly.

Sycamore/ Montini- game of the week in 5a. Pulling for Sycamore because i'd love to see a rematch of Sycamore and Sterling if they are able to keep advancing. I think Montini wins.

Yorkville/ Richards- Don't know much about either team. I have seen Yorkville and like their skill but Richards seems to get a lot of love. I think Richards moves on.

Good Luck to all NIB 12 teams

I love the fact that Sterling got two easy first round games to get healthy,While other teams are getting the snot kicked out of them Sterling had second team in by end of first q last week! I think they will handel Boylan Catholic in the quarters even though they have a beast running back. I have seen Montini play, as well as Sycamore, I think Sycamore wins that game, as long as they play a good game, I’m really wanting to see Sycamore in the semis for a second shot, it will be like a different Sterling team I promise. Good luck to Sycamore, woukd be cool to see two teams from same conference in the semis!

"sterling warrior" - please stop posting all of these comments regarding other schools. all it does is give bulletin board material for potential upcoming opponents. shut up and play!

If that’s the case then shut down the entire sight because that’s what this forum is about, our perceptions and views.

Sounds like you're a big hit in the stands.

I'm pretty sure he's not allowed in the stands and is the creepy guy who always watches the game through the fence that surrounds the stadium. Look for him outside the fence on 111th St. on Saturday. He will be the one wearing the Sterling letterman jacket.

Sterling at Brooks- Sterling Big, probably only team to move on

Kaneland at Cary Grove- really tough O to defend without very big D line that eats up double teams and lets LB's roam and be aggressive. Feel bad for my alma mater in this one. As stated, keep it withing 20 and should feel good.

Sycamore at Montini- Montini by 20, better athletes and more of them.

Yorkville at Richards- too big and too fast. They will force turnovers, Yville D strength is stopping run, Richards O strength is running. Their strength is better than our strength They will stop Yville run game and also get alot of pressure on QB with only 3 man front and 8 in coverage(no windows and no separation for receivers).... equals interceptions. Richards 45- Yville 10.

Yorkville gave them a good game...toughest this year for Richards..sounded like they got some good RBs on Richards. I hope kaneland plays CG as tough tomorrow.

On a side note I hope all not true about cover up and hope it was a disgruntled poster.

Richards tailback Williams has 5 or so D1 offers and more in works. They also run Qb and put Castro in at other back and at wildcat. He is committed to Iowa

See me question below in thread

Can’t wait for richards to put an end to
Yorkville season. Heard that allegedly the coaches were involved in covering up a big party hosted a star players house that was documented on social media. Parents hosted and included drugs and alcohol. Players were instructed to lie to authorities and throw away their phones

Opening kickoff of 2nd half might of been game changer...who knows what happens if Yorkville holds on to it and goes and gets a score......might of changed the play calling of Richards....that being said Yorkville did come right back a score a td after Richards capitalized on the Yorkville turnover.......Richards made the big plays on both sides of the ball when they had too and were better last night.

Congratulations to Yorkville on a fine season....it's too bad that we probably won't see any Morris/Yorkville match ups for a while with the end of the NIB XII this year. There's been a nice little rivalry in all sports between the 2 schools the last few years.
