I was a tarheel fan back when Mack coached there. He recruited some great players. Went 1-10 first two years, then took them to #2 in the country. Pretty much his entire defense ended up starting in the NFL, from Dre Bly to Ebenezer Ekuban, Gregg Ellis, etc.
I guess Mack coached that Peach Bowl where UNC made the big comeback after blocking a couple kicks? I got tickets to that game in my stocking that year.
