I saw that. That A.C. team was tough. They had Mayes also. Most people don't realize how good that team was back then.

That AC team was super tough. Joel B also played linebacker covering the field sideline to sideline. One of the best coached teams in the state.
Much respect to those two young men.

Only loss for AC that year was @ Montini 31-27.
This video is the entire game condensed into 33 minutes.


Fast forward to the 19:10 mark. Bronco was leading 24-6 with 6:11 to play in the 3rd Q. AC goes on a 21-point run to go up 27-24 with under 5 minutes to play in the game. If you want to see an offense firing on all cylinders, give it a watch. Wild finish, Bronco wins with a late TD but AC drives length of the field in 1 minute and almost pulls the upset.
