Dude looks tall compared to his teammates. With him and the Rookster in the same battery, that seems a bit scary.

Announcers surely have nightmares about pronouncing this kid's name.

Is that the best game ever played by a hitter? Has to be in contention.
Tied MLB record for total bases and his double was very nearly a 5th HR.

So yes, without a doubt one of the very best hitting days in MLB history. Maybe the best.

Went 6-6 and had a double in addition to the 4 homers. Look how close his double was to homer #5:

The more I go down the rabbit hole, the more impressive it gets.

He is now on a 12 game hitting streak.

Was already leading the AL in extra base hits for the month before getting 5 last night.

5 of his 6 hits were to the opposite field.

His dad was in the crowd in Houston.

Last player with 43 extra base hits in his first 66 games was Joe DiMaggio in 1936.

9 for 11 in his last two games with 4 homers and 3 doubles.

He played on that great Wake Forest team a couple of years ago.

Not that it matters, but the last one in the 9th, which made it probably the best hitting performance ever, was off an outfielder.

Now average it out next season. You'll see a big difference
