I disagree. Sneed, Butler, C. Powers- should he choose to stay, Moore, Whitney, Duffy, and Adkins all deserve to come back, in addition to Routt and Ryan Powers. All have worked hard and while that is hardly a group that will remind anyone of some of the better MSU teams in history, thay all have produced through the year and deserve to come back in my opinion.

I also would let Freeman and Bowen come back as well. Freeman has been hurt, and DeLoach has been playing well, plus we lose three catchers. Bowen has struggled, but he does have good stuff. He is worth taking a chance on next year because he just has to get his head on straight. If he doesn't, we have four Fr. pitchers and two JUCO pitchers coming in that I think will play and contribute right away, so we won't be in the same bind we are this year if he can't turn it around.

I would also give Pace, Devin Jones, and Busby injury passes as well.

before his career is over he may be one of the better ss we have had. I like the infield if they all come back. Sneed and Butler aren't great defensive players but swing a decent bat. I believe Conner Powers will be gone.
Not so sure about Bowen coming back unless he really turns things around quickly. I know Collins has had to overcome an injury but he doesn't look like the same player as he was last year. I'd say catching and outfield will all be new players next year. We need 5 or 6 new pitchers to come in next year and make huge strides.

I could have sworn that he was a senior. I'm assuming that with his struggles this year, the pro draft won't be too hard after him.

Personally, I tip my hat to Cohen and the staff because we are much improved offensively

There will be a massive overhaul of the pitching staff</p>

about who should come back. I would maybe add Rawdow and Collins, if he hasn't been mentioned already. Rawdow has been decent as a freshman and should continue to improve.

The only pitchers I would bring back are Whitney, Routt, Moore, Pace, Jones, and Bowen. I know Bowen has struggled this year, but he has good stuff and Jones should continue to improve as he bulks up.

In the field I would bring back both Powers, Butler, Sneed, Adkins, Collins, Duffy, Freeman, and Rawdow.

if Busby is back. He's just shown nothing since he's been here but an inability to stay healthy. When he has thrown, it just doesn't cut it.

And if you (the original poster in the thread) are going to start cutting Whitney, Moore and position players and hoping ot fill the gaps with this recruiting class, then we'll be far worse next year. People are expecting way too much out of a class, that depending on the draft, is pretty good but not great in my opinion.

Our outfield is ok, Hogue is good, the other positions seem to be rotating who is marginal. We dont have enough starters for SEC and midweek games which leaves us with pretty much no bullpen guys that should consistently play division I baseball. That is counting midweek games. We have noone I feel even remotely confident in when they go to the mound. Amazingly enough, we could be A LOT WORSE. Routt is throwing a complete game every 17ing weekend that is saving what little bullpen we have. If we had halfass decent division I bullpen, we would be going to a regional this year, as is we will have to get lucky to make one.

for the shape that our pitching staff is in. He has gotten some, but if he hadn't had a reputation for ruining arms, we would probably have at least a little bit better pitching staff. It's also likely that Cohen wouldn't have "bashed our bullpen" if we had some decent arms there to, and a lot of that is on McNickle. And Polk to- he should have fired him instead of defend him when Lea and Weatherford's parents got pissed.

Raffo and Polk should be bashed for their recruiting, but at least they brought in some guys who while the won't make anyone forget Palmeiro, have some ability and are at least coachable as far as the offense is concerned.

ultimately, it's Ron Polk's fault.
