Seems like Slive is making his point with the hard hits on "defenseless players". Nickoe just hasn't been on the right angle to knock the 17 out of somebody yet. History says he will though.
He is the hardest hitter I ever remember. Used to be Ashley Cooper.

Was that Ashley Cooper who hit the Clemson guy in the Peach Bowl back in '01 or so? That's the hardest hit I've ever seen in person. I thought it was Bean.

Bean, Smoot, Prather, Cooper, and Morgan was an evil defensive backfield. There were some hard hits delivered.

Maybe Nickoe should sit out the game before Alabama. That is when Slivama would most likely choose to suspend him.

He has been making a fair amount of tackles, but he has been noticeably absent in the passing game, which isn't a bad thing. He doesn't seem to be himself yet, though. He appears slow, and he has taken some bad angles.

He did have a couple of big licks the other night, but the thing I did notice was that he delivered it with arms and shoulders and head up. If he continues to do that, he'll be fine. It's dropping the helmet that gets you in trouble. Course, sometimes we are on the business end of more liberal rules interpretations.

Last couple of years our defensive secondary game plan was to play with 15 yard cushion, let the other team catch the ball, then knock the ball, and Receiver's helmet loose with a monster hit.
When we play tight man coverage like in Auburn game, we can avoid the collision and get the pick.
