would look good on the domes. Do one of those...a curved "STATE" and even try a straight across...i think it would look pretty badass

without knowing the exact font used. I think it looks pretty damn good and would avoid any copyright infringement (tounge in cheek).

see it. You Ole Miss homers can talk all you want about our obsession with helmets, but 17, that was a 17ing good looking helmet.

It just sucks to have had PERFECT, only to abandon it and change to something else.

17.

I emailed Greg to congratulate him on our new head coach and also told him that I liked the new maroon helmet; except, I asked him to please consider going back to the interlocking MSU or even the MSU baseball MS script.

Greg will listen if you email him a constructive email on your preference. I don't know if the final helmet logo is a done deal or not; but you can share your preference.

BTW. He did thank me for the email and replied back.

Greg is going to be our best AD ever. Let's treat him with respect by being contructive in our emails.

That is the main problem I see, just need to drop the top of the "M" down a little and maybe make the whole design a little thicker.

We are slowly deteriorating any brand recognition our University might have had left. We need to quickly develop a logo with good eye candy that is going to last, I'm tired of these short-term logo fads we have fallen into.

instead of the gradient bevel, try the maroon, then white stroke on the fonts. Or will that be too close to Nike's?

Still looks very good though.

Because there's no price that Nike would sell it to us for without us moving back to Nike (not that I'd be totally against going back to Nike). That's the whole reason they either negotiated or slipped that little clause into the contract.

Maroon shell, interlocking MSU, but dont get the M to high, make sure the MSU is more compact, make the face mask white, then make the chin strap maroon with a white MSU on side of the chin strap, put a white MSU above the face mask, then add some white doggy bones on the back for good play.

Thanks,

with a little more curve. Maybe match the curvature of the top of the helmet? Just a thought. Looks pretty good though.

There was another logo, similar to the Nike/Sherrill interlocking MSU (MSJ?) that was used during the Bellard and Felker years. It was more of a block letter style than the interlocking logo with a small separation between the letters. Anyone got a graphic of that? It would be better than that damn M-State.

MState = Templeton and mediocrity
White helmets = Shira and Croom and failure

I agree completely. As many people as possible need to e-mail Greg and constructively reiterate this point.

that's exactly what I'm talkin bout!!!

I've been trying to work on one but the fonts just never looked right to me. You nailed it.
