Thanks,
Thanks,
I know you don’t like it. I don’t like it. But that’s the rules of the game now. So we either play or we don’t.If you build it they will come is so outdated.
If you pay them with the money you fans give them, they will come.
I’m sure all this inflation, food and gas prices, cost of education and struggling economy has had no effect on you, so give up the green $$$$
You forgot $5,000 Springsteen tickets. Sorry, Rutgers, the Boss needs retirement money. $500 Million for his catalog does not go as far as it used to.If you build it they will come is so outdated.

That’s the misunderstanding, it’s not like back in the day where you get paid for no show jobs.I don't think I understand what NIL is at this point. I was under the impression that Geo and his friends were fighting for the right to make money off of their name, image, and likeness. To me, that means if your name, image, or likeness is used on a tee shirt, in a video game, or by a camp, you get paid. I didn't think it meant a bunch of fans just paid you to do nothing but possess your name, image, and likeness. This is so messed up, and I don't see it lasting very long in this form.
lol, shocking that if remains completely unregulated will ruin college sports. who could have seen this coming? what could POSSIBLY go wrong when you are allowed to hand over a check for $100k and say "transfer here and show up on my podcast once and we are all set"I was under the impression that Geo and his friends were fighting for the right to make money off of their name, image, and likeness.
Your season tickets, fanaticism and excitement don’t do squat….TD Club meeting was electric last night. As was the KTR event on Tuesday night. I was already all -in with NIL, but these 2 events made me increase $$ I'm giving
NIL is real
It's legit
It's not going away
And quite frankly, it's long overdue IMO
Very excited to see what the future holds
For boosters it is “we.” The university proper is trying to steer the boat while letting the collective row. It means the university may point prospective donors to the collective. Strange days indeed. What is this "we"? I thought NIL was completely separate from the schools?
Can the collective bid on the contract to provide food at the games and use profits for players? If you charge less on some of the food items at the games, maybe people will buy a little more ?
2 x $11 beers = $22
3 x 9 = $27
Because it’s not a slush fund. It’s dollars mostly designated for a specific purpose. To change that would be illegal.Lol
Why don’t they break into the 1.9 billion dollar endowment fund
I believe that’s called plagiarism or since you’re the patent guy, copyright infringement, councilor. You forgot $5,000 Springsteen tickets. Sorry, Rutgers, the Boss needs retirement money. $500 Million for his catalog does not go as far as it used to.

Your first paragraph has been true since I first became an RU fanatic in 1975I give $$
As I would assume most here do
Chances are, if we started making moves on the field (winning games, going to big bowls, etc.), people would be more likely to buy in
Some of the fans will never buy to NIL
Some are already bought in
The fans in the middle (as well as current corporations) are they key to the future, as well as future retention of current donors and smart allocation of $$

It is a fight that ultimately we can’t win. Maybe we can stay close in NIL early days by getting the ball rolling early, but in 2-3 years the top 25 college football programs fanbases will destroy us.NIL we hypothetically have a chance to battle back.
This x 10000000000Players have always been poached by elite teams:
Mostly for reasons we hypothetically could never compete against:
Closer to home
Better chance to win conference, make CFP, play in New Years bowls, win national championship.
NIL we hypothetically have a chance to battle back.
You are misunderstood.
These are the same no-show jobs as in the past.
The players are signing contracts with entities.
See the post from @MrsScrew about the local AC company.
You think any other fans know that Gavin Wimsatt signed his NIL with NJ Devco?
They just see he signed a big NIL deal and make the same assumptions you are.

OkayThat's the point
NIL was going on before it was legal
Our celling was limited under the old structure
Under the new one, possibilities exist where we can actually compete w/the big boys
Will we ever catch them? Or eclipse them?
Most likely not - but at least now we have a shot
If that’s accurate why would the Knights of the Raritan be collecting money? It seems to me they are collecting money on a grassroots level and supplementing and/or creating NIL opportunities that are simply a way around paying players directly.
It' was confirmed they were indeed paidI would assume the players were paid to show up to the meeting the other night.
That is NIL money the players couldn’t previously receive.
Change it, everything changes
Ultimately the universities are to blame for creating a weak head office and never cementing conferences in place like leagues everywhere else. The end result is an unpredictable landscape that is leaving many universities, with tens of millions in bonds for stadiums and other structures, in a precarious financial position, looking at conditions very different from the ones when they committed to those bonds. USC and UCLA jump the PAC 12 after decades and suddenly the other 10 teams are in a degraded position. NIL comes in and everyone is scrambling, with little lead time, to find yet more money. It won't stop until the libertarian structure of college sports is ended.Seems like we are going back to the Teddy Roosevelt days here.
Interesting to see if the powers that be get involved like the last time.
