This is such an important topic. In the modern era of college football there is NO WAY you can compete at an elite level without having a lot of money for NIL. So how much do we actually have? Who makes the decision on how it is spent? Rhule? The AD? A committee of people?

It is very alarming actually that we did not get a running back. And if Rhule really does "like" what he has in that room then, once again, it shows what a piss poor evaluator of talent he is. More than likely he just ran out of money so is now just blowing smoke up our rear ends about how satisfied he is with that room.

It is like I have said over and over, most people are bad at "hiring" which is what signing players is...

We have dumb dumbs on this board that do hiring and said they would not hire Ekler or Cigs because of their "track records" or moving around a lot.

Rhule is just another guy that is bad at hiring...staff and players. His 3 best players have been

Those two DL that were already here and then EJ who they tried to not play.

In fairness - Nebraska had its best days with thugs playing - so bring it.
Everybody had thugs...people were a lot more aggressive and violent back then, a lot of people on roids, coke, crack. Today, a lot of people smoke weed, do opiates, and heroin...those drugs aren't going to lead to too much activity just a lot of trouble breathing. NU had absolute Ivan Drago cyborgs walking around campus, i mean 3rd and 4th string guys were roided to the max. I know we had a least few players get shot and obviously violent fights happened every weekend. Oh, and alcohol was mandatory.

"NU football’s recruiting expenditures took a sharp decline, from $2.19 million to $1.66 million, as Nebraska’s 2025 recruiting class was roughly half the size of the 2024 class. Like other schools, Nebraska added more transfers to the 2025, which cuts into recruiting expenses, since on-campus visits tend to be shorter and coaches don’t travel to visit prospects at their schools.

In part because of a new, lavish training table operation — which partners with Flik corporate hospitality group — NU athletics’ meal expenses increased by 65%, from $7,040,557 to $11,649,457. Meal expenses in multiple sports — baseball, track and field and tennis among them — more than doubled as student-athletes took advantage of the food service inside the Osborne Legacy Complex."

if I was rhule I would just say we are doing the best we can with what we got..as far as nil...

that leaves the door open for more money and yet says he's being frugal also...

some times he gives too long of answers...it like the opposite of bo just grunting....some where in the middle ground is better..

then I'd ask each player how much they are making? to keep them on their toes

"Effective Aug. 1, all Division I teams will be permitted up to two additional commercial logos on their uniforms and apparel and one additional commercial logo on equipment during the preseason and regular season, with an additional commercial logo on uniforms and apparel for conference championships. The patches will be limited to a maximum of 4 square inches per logo."

Gotta get that Case IH and Runza NIL money

I have no issues with all our athletes enjoying the lavish training table as it should be.

Sounds like there will be room to stick a Fig Newton logo over the visor.

Why do we need a rb? We are nevermore going to compete at an "elite level."

Well, this is 100% true and what I have always said. These guys look at it like a job, just like we look at our jobs as just a job. This is why it shocked me when dorky fans got mad at Bo for looking for other jobs and not wanting to French Kiss the fans.
The moment fans don't understand that the worse off they will be. These guys are all about getting the most money they can. Frost was from Nebraska and didn't give a **** . Why would u think Rhule or anybody else would be that different.

Im one if the few who isn't all the way out on him yet but I'm never blinded by the supposed loyalty these coaches try and portray. End of the day I'm just hoping they win enough to leave the program in a better place before they move on to the next big thing OR lose quickly enough so we can start the process over without wasting too much time. Sounds crazy but that's what college football has become now.
