People would pay to see it regardless of whether they win or lose. And you have very little cost - scholorships,coach,sand court, volleyballs,net, bleachers for spectators, travel expenses, and a few skimpy "uniforms".

Gotta be able to make money off that. Especially if you could get a few games lined upon a Saturday in September before/after a football game.
