Felton went 17-17 in that "magical" season, 4-12 in conference play. They lost in the first round of the NCAAT. Felton was fired mid season the next year.

I don't remember the details, but in the SEC tournament, UK was upset early so UGA didn't have to play them.
Georgia beat Kentucky and Mississippi State on the same day after their Friday game was postponed to Saturday after the tornado in Atlanta.

I didn't pay much attention to it. That whole tournament was weird. I looked it up, I was thinking about Tennessee, the favorite, losing to Arkansas so UGA didn't have to play them. UK had a down year in 2008, at least down relative to UK standards. UGA was the bottom seed in the East going into the SEC tournament. SC was 5th in the East and almost upset Tennessee in the quarterfinal, losing by 2 points.

I had forgotten they moved the semifinal and finals games to the Gt campus and limited the crowd to player's families and 400 fans from each team.

When Christ blocked the KY player who was trying to dunk last night, that was crazy good. I can't find the clip today.

@18IsTheMan , I completely missed your sarcasm last time, but I did not bite this time. Oh God no, please no NIT, this needs to be over soon, lol
Back when only 24 teams danced, the NIT had prestige. Like the 8-member ACC we left almost 55 years ago, that NIT is history.

We could pull an NC State. Coach who was going to be fired ended up winning the conference tourney, made a run in the NCAAT, was forced to retain the coach due to a clause in his contract, then fired him the next season.
That does lower the buyout......

First time Tech hosted anything SEC since they left the league in 1964.
