Weeeeeee!!!!! Huskies lost starting LB to injury last week, yet limited the Panthers to just 13 points tonight. Congrats to NN, who with the win, have qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2013. Glenbard North has owned this series the last six years. Really happy for this senior-dominated group, who have taken their lumps the last few years.

Wow that's awesome!! I'm happy for NN!! That's a huge win. NN needs to be ranked with NV in the top 10. If they are not - it's a travesty and they not getting their due respect.

Couldn't be happier for NN and Sean Drendel and they are Top 15 team no question...next week tells us alot more.
The big questions? Can NNFan maintain his thus far successful approach of downplaying the Huskies' chances? Will he give them any chance at all against NV?

GBN Nation in mourning today but it's only one game, congrats to NN, payback long overdue and good luck with NV next week, always will pull for the "original" DVC team and it will be another challenge to see who gets the W. Not a good game for the Panthers, 2 bad INT's, dropped balls, too many penalties (NN had their share also) and that missed opportunity at the end of the 1st half because of no timeouts (they burned one on their 1st possession because the FB was still on the sideline, oops) This defense has given up so many big plays it's getting to be a major concern, 2 defenders ran into each other on that 65 yd pass play which ended up being the winning margin. Getting nervous that with all the talent and speed on this team they have a basic lack of size (other than the O line), I thought that they were manhandled at times last night. Great job on Tricase, he had to fight hard for every yard last night. Hope to see you again--in the playoffs!

Yep, didn't think that one through, good correction. Would like to play GW just to see what would happen but not optimistic about the final outcome. That coaching staff is arguably the best in Illinois.
If NN can edge NV next week. Ok I'm off my sugar high - I realize that is a big assumption...but if so - they should be the biggest GBN fans for the remainder of the season because NV still has to play GBN in week 9.
This would give NN a little cushion to win outright conference championship even with 1 loss If they have an off night in their rivalry game against NC,...or up at Dick Kerner field vs WV. I am not sure how DVC does ties for conference champs and if they use tie breakers to designate or just leave it as co-champs.

We are getting way too ahead of ourselves. This is the new DVC, and anybody can beat anybody in this league. So many close games every week... WWS almost beat NC Friday, NC beat WV by two TDs the week prior, WV beat Glenbard North and almost beat Neuqua. Thinking ahead will get you a big L. I still think Metea and Lake Park are pretty good.
