Playing devils advocate here, is it for quarantine of a group of players or just 1 or 2 in the KW v Essex game? Heard a 4A school in Richmond postponed the game b/c their star player was quarantined but they technically had enough players to play the game. I worried about this before the season & its still a concern, teams can literally avoid teams. I hope everyone is okay but a lil transparency is needed.....

Neither one of these teams have a history of avoiding one another. They’ve played in the past with a star or 2 missing from either team, so why would they avoid one another this year? We live in a Covid world and it’s calling the shots just like it sadly ended King Williams season in the playoffs back in the spring.

There are no blanket rules for covid. Every health district, school district, and in some cities each high school makes the call on how they address it. Some are sticking to the old 14 day quarantine structure while many have left that and isolated the infected and moved on. Lets hope things get better going into Fall.

No one said they were avoiding, I'm saying it's not uniform as to when teams should postpone due to covid. 1 player 2 players or 10?

Usually teams that have one or two test positive have numerous others that have to quarantine due to contact tracing. Possibly the whole team. Some are quarantined due you contact tracing in school or outside of school. Only ones who don't have to quarantine are the ones that are vaccinated. Others are eligible after five days IF they have a negative test result. This variant is spreading like wild fire among the youth.
