We have to keep Crooms and Woody to get Russell to Vegas...
You know Woody sends him handwritten love notes..

I think we have both these ***-clowns back next year..

Plus I think that's horseshit.

Let some young guy come in promising to sling that thing and Russell forgets all about Croom's ***.

Exactly!! We bring in Kelly, Graham, or Hatcher he would be all over MSU. Now we bring in Patterson who is known as a D coach but offense is based on the option, Russell is gone

Croom and Woody won't know what to do with him anyway.

Best to just make a clean break, coaches, recruits, everything.

we'd be better off without either him or Crxxm than with both of them.

We Croom Crooms and Tyler will be at Bama.
Crooms is the man reason he committed to MSU.

Tyler could be the best QB ever in Vegas...

I've heard "could be" at State my whole life.

Excuse me for not getting excited.

Todd Jordan knocked all the recruiting sheepiness out of me a long time ago.

He will suck with either of those two *** clowns as his coach anyway. I don't care if we sign 5 guys in February, as long as we have a new coach. Hanging onto these idiots will do nothing put dig a deeper hole than we're already in. It's time, Greg. It's time.

"I think we all played pretty well this week," Powers said. "Coach Cohen has let us go out there and make our own decisions this week. Having a new coach has been a change for us, but we all love Coach Cohen."

They may have been here already, but , Cohen also picked up recruits that Polk had no chance with.

My God, Ron Polk WON, and we didn't want his *** anymore even if he had had some stud recruit saying Polk was the reason for him coming.

This is so much bigger than Russell.

Russell will make no difference next year. If you think so, God bless you.

this thread is about a player that wont play a down for us next year. Crooms is not going to put him in over Lee, Carroll, and Relf. He is going to redshirt

I'm from Meridian and graduated from MHS and would love to see Russell in Maroon and White but like most people are saying I'd rather Croom go. There still might be a chance to keep Russell if we get the right coach, and he isn't gonna be worth a **** under Croom anyway.

Edited to say: I'm signing up for welfare if Obama is elected.

What I didn't post the other day was that Tyler's Dad mentioned that Saban will not promise Tyler that he'll get to play quarterback. That is a deal-breaker, from what I understand, and so Alabama is not even a consideration (at this point).

But back to the original subject, Woody and the Russell family have had no contact, whatsoever. Tyler is coming to MSU b/c of Croom and the order in which he explained his reasons for recruiting Tyler: 1) he will make a man out of him; 2) he will get a good education; 3) he will get to play football.

The above is straight from Mr. Russell's conversation, and so I trust that it's true....right now.

You learn to become a man on your own and when you go to college the burden of getting an education is placed on the student not the teacher or the football coach. He needs to quit with all this being a man ******** and focus on winning 17ing football games. That's what he is over payed for.

The HC isn't paid to babysit and raise children; he's paid to win football games. I think we're all guilty (to some extent) of drinking the Croom Kool-aid and were proud to say that we hired a man of integrity that put players' best interests first. Well, that's all wonderful and makes me fuzzy feeling, and would be great if it resulted in W's on the football field...but it hasn't. So "F" 'em and feed 'em fish heads and hire someone that knows how to WIN.

Can anyone tell me if Russell plays basketball and baseball. Just wondering what kind of pure athlete he is due to the fact he will probably be doing alot of running around in the backfield if line recruiting goes south...

Fine by me. I'll take a sure thing and a proven commodity over potential any day. Its a sure thing and proven that Croom is a dubmass and isn't fit to coach pee wee football and Russell is purely potential right now. In no way, shape, or form is Russell worth putting up with Croom's ****** coaching for any longer. Croom should be gone the day after the Egg Bowl and he can take Russell with him for all I care. Hell, if Russell is dumb enough to hitch his cart to Croom regardless of what happens, then he is an idiot too and is not somone I want playing QB at MSU.

Q. You committed to Mississippi State. How solid are you on that commitment and what made you choose the Bulldogs?

A. I'm definitely, 100 percent going to Mississippi State. I am not even going to visit anybody else. It was really Coach Croom. That's what really made me want to go to Mississippi State. He is the kind of coach that is not just worried about the football aspect of it. He is going to prepare you to be a man in the long run.

What parent would want their child to play under this guy? Especially if he has the talent people say he does. I will see him play Terry on Friday and see what all the hype is about. Does anyone know if there are other schools trying to get him? If so, how would he even consider this?
