I think what Peaches is trying to say is the Horizon League is the best conference in the land. They are 4-0 in the tournament.

2 of the 3 best teams in the SEC make the Elite 8, with the 3rd team losing early...none make the Final Four...and you can't understand why someone would say that a conference with only 2-3 good teams out of 12 is not a very good conference?

I'm not going to argue because I know you had your "UT's mid-major coach takes them to Final 4" draft written up in case they won. But no, I don't think a conference that comprised 25% of the "Elite 8" is a 6th rate conference

The SEC was not nearly as bad as many made it out to be this season. MSU, Ole Miss, Florida, and Vandy were nearly as good as many of the teams that made the NCAA tournament. State had a win against Old Dominion, Florida beat Michigan State, and Ole Miss beat Kansas State. The SEC was by no meansan awesome conference but it was much improved this year.

4th or 5th best conference in America in 2010, behind the Big XII, Big X, and Big East obviously. Sagarin's rankings were about that last I saw in early March.

I thought the SEC was ahead of the ACC and well ahead of the Pac-10.

Why was this thread started in the first place?

the ACC was stronger since they had 6 teams in the Tourney...the Mountain West also got 4 teams in as well

is apparently NCAA tournament appearances while making the tournament means nothing for MSU. No, only a deep NCAA tournament run qualifies as an achievement for State. However, the fact that the SEC was one of only two conferences with two teams that went deep enough to make the Elite 8 means nothing. They're still weak as hell. Do you stop and realize how terribly contradicting you can be at times?

i'm just talking about how the overall stregth of the conference is ******. I also think it's ****** the SEC has had only 3 teams make a Final Four in the last 8-9 years- that just really shows how much its lacking

Final Four Appearances in last 15 years

Atlantic Coast
Conference=13
South Eastern Conference=12
Big Ten=11
Big
Twelve=7
Pacific Ten=7
Big East=7
Atlantic Ten=1
Mountain West=1
Colonial Athletic Association=1

Your prob right coach, the SEC isn't a powerhouse conference. However, the SEC was much better in 2010 than it was in 2009.

Also, I think the SEC had 3 very good teams this year (UK, UT, Vandy), then 3 pretty good teams (UF, MSU, UM). Thats half the teams..

because 10 years, which is a more normal number for measurement, puts the SEC 6th in appearances

the last 10 years the SEC is 6th in Final Fours...the glory days of the mid 90's are long gone for the conference at this point

if TN had won, he would have said."Only 1 final 4for the SEC, and NO appearance in the championship game a-GAIN".

By the way, the "aGAIN" thing is getting older than "fail", "that is all", and the million othermessage boarddouchebaggeriesyou've run into the ground.

Just like the last 3 years would be a better measure of our program than using the last 5 which you use all the time? You're the absolute worst at skewing stats to fit an agenda. Why again is it your life's mission to post 50 times a day on a message board and devote every minute of your day to disparaging MSU basketball? Do you do ANYTHING else with your entire life?

Final Four= Measure of greatness for a conference
Sweet Sixteen= Measure of greatness for a coach

Is that about right, or do I need to go stack some condoms at the CVS and come back and try aGAIN?

I hate those SOB's. I think they sold their sole's for this season. I am happy they lost. They are going to lose this team to the draft and are going to have to regroup. Yeah I know, they are KY and it's not a big problem but I think it is funny as Hell they lost. It made my week after being out of town all week. As I said on another thread, they are my new Alabama.

Whendid10 become a standard? Saying 'this decade' makes sense,but thats usually because its an easy quick reference in terms of timeline.

You should know best that numbers canbe and are F'd with to supportaview or dismiss a view. ****, you did it right here.

15 isnt a good measurement because itdoesnt help your argument.

Why not 5 years? If 15 is too far into the past, then use 5 since thats even more recent than 10. Why use 5?...why not just the current season andthe previous one?

Your arguments are a tiresome joke that isnt even consistent each time you tell it. Yet i keep sitting in the crowdlistening to it.
