@doneagain that my friend is one long bit of info to read. I personally don’t think Oklahoma is getting in. This playoff, and it’s NOT a playoff, has nothing to do with the best 4 schools. It is espn getting the best 4 schools for TV which is for ratings cause they massively overpaid for this. Year 1 showed that with TCU and Baylor BOTH dropping out of the top 4 despite winning in the final week before the final ranking. And a weekly ranking/selection show is the most ratings grabbing attention ***** thing I have ever seen. Imagine IF the NCAA basketball committee did that with 68 schools throughout the last month plus of the season-haha. I could see Joe Lunardi saying how this committee has NM School of Chiropractic Teaching at 69 is something I can’t fathom when they have ITT Technology and Religious Institute in at 64. Btw The B1G has been shut out twice since going to FOX. You think that’s an accident? And it’s NOT a playoff. It’s a committee decision, not much if actually better than what was there before with the BCS/BCA/BA. And the reason for the committee is to protect and keep in existence the STUPID 40+ Bowl Games of which 30 are not watched or attended. ESPN broadcasts 90% of these empty to half empty stadium games. If they want a playoff, go to 16 teams like every other division in the NCAA. Yeah 2 Division 1-aa and 2 Division Iii schools play 15 games. It could happen. Make Conference champs automatic. I bet this super conference stuff would go away real quick. At large births are given by a numerical system for wins and losses like in the basketball RPI. First Round games are home games to the highest 8 seeds. Seeding is based on RPI and Conference Champs. It would make more sense than what we have now. It won’t happen in our lifetime unless these Bowl games start losing money whoch I’m helping at that every season now by not going to anymore. I instead go to two road games which are a better value and more fun.
