MMB rules for Holidays.....if you don't know them, I'm informing you here. You couldn't stand down on Memorial Day, so it's left to me to set you all straight today. Do the extremists who have me on Ignore a favor and inform them of this as well.

If you disagree (or don't believe me), go ask doc and THE and BRU and dave about them......they've all been around here long enough to know what I'm talking about. This is a 24-hour moratorium on ***-hole-edness; get it all out of your system by 1159pm tonight, and don't come back until 1201am on 7/5/17.

I'm not telling you again.....and that means YOU, PATX and country, and all the rest.

I testify to this truth. This was a rule created by those who post here, not by Vernon. I would say me, but ya'll wouldn't believe that anyways, because you wouldn't listen anyhow.

Sorry, I'll have to blacklist her.

The Flag Code addresses the impropriety of using the flag as an article of personal adornment, a design of items of temporary use, and item of clothing. The evident purpose of these suggested restraints is to limit the commercial or common usage of the flag, and, thus, maintain its dignity

In all seriousness, I've had a problem with the flag being used as clothing for a long time. But then again, I was an old Boy Scout who learned about flag etiquette. The irony is, those who think they are the most patriotic are the ones who generally violate the flag rules (ie wingnuts)

Any of my posts tomorrow will be succinct and relevant, as per usual. Besides, Ethel Merman's ghost told me I can post all I want. God Bless America.

As much as I wanted to, I held off of wearing flag-like clothing like the hippie protesters, lest it be deemed unpatriotic. Then the US Olympic team rolled out with it. That was my green light.

I detest the practice of people the American Flag as articles of clothing -- just flat out pisses me off.

I'll go along with your blacklist for her (Sarah P) and anyone else that desecrates our flag in anyway. "THE FLAG" symbolizes the unity of our country, our citizens, our Constitution and our inalienable rights contained therein. Long live " OLD GLORY" and long may she wave.

It was a joke. I do detest it, why I brought it up, but I'm not blacklisting anyone/anything. I only use my MOD Squad abilities for good. Fighting off sPitt heathens. I haven't had to use them in a long time.

You can keep anything you want. I don't condemn anyone for anything they want to wear. It just pisses me off to see our national symbolMadse into a pair of trousers, shorts or a shirt. It Is not against the law; just a quirk I have.

Flag Lapel Pins as well as U S Flag Patches on Law Enforcement Uniforms or Military Uniforms weren't worn until, I think, prior to 9/1.

Wow, I gave up on finding a picture of a President before W wearing a Flag Lapel Pin. Now if a politician is caught not wearing one while among pin wearers, some question why he ISN'T wearing one. I don't get bent out of shape when people wear flag socks, shirts or whatever. I figure their intentions are good. I have a slight quirk about people leaving up their flag. Only Federal Buildings should fly the flag daily as many do. If Gov or Citizens raise it every day, it should be lowered at days end. Unless I forget, which happens, I take it down when Flag Days are over. I can't readily see my flag where I hang it, but horns from barge traffic reminds me it's there. :americanflag:
