A lack of floor leadership has been exceptionally noticeable over Pope’s two teams in Lexington, Butler was the closest we had and had he been healthy all year, he would’ve been that guy. There are far too many players taking ill advised shots, particularly deep threes in transition with no one in position to rebound. There are very few guys willing to drive to the paint aggressively, Pope’s talking about 35 three attempts per game, I don’t see that, had we pressed them more frequently and worked the ball inside consistently, believe we would’ve won. Pope needs to break it off in Oweh’s ***, sooner than later, he’s going to play overseas, not in the NBA, he’ll have a great life after UK, though right now he needs to be playing for the jersey he’s wearing not trying to appease NBA scouts. The jury is still out on Lowe, though early on he’s weak physically and can’t lock down opposing guards, he was abused all night, essentially bullied.
