I had a feeling today would be a letdown game after the LSU game. USC game is now huge. It's make or break for NCAA. We have to go at least 11-5 in the SEC. I have changed from 12-4 is what is needed.

show up on any given night. I think we can still make the dance but it may come down we have to win the SEC tourney.

If we finish 2nd in the West, get a 1st round bye, and avoid LSU's half of the bracket, I like our chances to win the SEC Tournament just as well as anybody else's. This is the most wide open SEC Tournament in a long long time. I can buy anybody winning it except for probably Georgia. Even Arkansas wouldn't surprise me all that much.

west cause if we lose to them at oxford we may end up tied with them and they will have the breaker.

I agree. Alot of us saw this coming, but we definately had our chances. Jarvis should have scored 30 tonight. Dont know why we didnt give the ball at least 7 more times in the paint. He had position on Korvotney most of the night. I think doing that would have slowed down this game alot more and not given them as many fast break opportunities. But when a guy like Waller comes out just lighting it up from 3, its tough to stay focused. His start to this game completely deflated whatever momentum we tried to start. They shot well, and we defended the 3 point terribly tonight. NIT looks like our only hope unless we go Georgia in the SEC Tournament.

I saw this coming and it had nothing to do with a letdown. I saw this coming because we're only an average team. We're an average team on our best day. We're fun to watch because we nail 3's. But that doesn't make us a good team.

If Jamont stayed and played power forward (neither of which could have happened), we'd be a better team. Instead, we're just a sideshow.

I'm like everyone else. I like our team. I don't think we played bad, but I think we could have played better. We were just worn down... Oh well, I think we'll be great in the future.

decided our NCAA fate. We might not have made it anyway, but those games did us in.

that ain't gonna be easy - it's the only reasonable path that I see though.

I'm predicting 9-7, 1 win in the tourney and NIT

I mean ****, they played 10 extra minutes of basketball three nights earlier...you think these guys were still fatigued from that? Maybe mentally it was difficult to overcome the LSU game...but if physical fatigue was a problem then we've got the most out of shape team in America.

at best we can finish the season with 3-2 against the RPI top 50 and likely in the high 60s RPI.

Then we probably need to get to the title in the SEC tourney with a win over either SC, Florida, or TN to give us 4 Top 50 RPI wins.

Our non conference schedule and losses have pretty much done us in.

their team mirrors ours except they are more experienced and much more athletic. They shoot the three well like we do, but they don't have a guys out there that are huge liabilities on defense.

did last year..

young teams that live by the 3 don't fair all that well in the tourney as an 8-9 seed

edit to say: I do notice you say 'could'
