i believe this is just protecting the future from certain death behind this line.

I think Baker is the future next year. It will be interesting to see if we move on from Lopez.

Still get to play in 4 games and still retain red shirt correct? So not if that means Baker won’t play at all. Newkirck has played a few downs IIRC. Threw an INT I think.

I think all bets are off next year. I would be surprised if Lopez is here then. Wonder if his 2nd year is guaranteed. Hope not.
