No SB-Martinsburg return game in 24

Word is SB double booked, and dates could not be worked out.

Unfortunate. Would’ve been one of the best interstate matchups in the area. Hopefully the series can resume at some point.

Surprised that would happen in the second year of the scheduling cycle. This year they played the second week of the season but looking at the WV board Martinsburg had the game penciled in for the first week next year. Presumably SB has Madison that week?

I suspect it’s due to 2024’s funky schedule layout. Most years, the regular season ends on the first Friday in November ( in VA). For 2024, it’s 11/8, the second Friday.

That would make sense. It’s always been my understanding that game was scheduled for week 1. Late shuffling happens, just unfortunate that a series I think could be a great one gets put on ice after year 1.
