Caleb Azibuke and Cory Batey. All three from the State of Tennessee. These are nice pickups for Franklin.

Kimbrow going to them this early is really surprising and Azibuke really impressed at our camp supposedly.

Now the big question is whether they'll stick or not.

Franklin has been great with the PR. I imagine he's a compelling recruiter.

the fact that they will be "The Man" once you join the team. What we've all learned, is that these kids obviously don't think about and see the whole picture at this age. Somehow, I think they will realize before signing day, that it's going to take more than just a few signees from one recruiting class to turn around that Vandy program, and they will jump ship to one of the winning teams before February. I read where they were told that they'd play from the beginning. Is that worth playing on a losing team, and potential career suicide?

yea it really is. A lot of kids tend to leave high school with a "gotta get mine" mentality. They usually tend to feel that the best case to showcase their talents is if they play for 4 years versus 2 - 3 at a university that's more established. If Vandy ends up having a good class initially, I think it will more than likely be due to getting kids that look at the school initially as a stepping stone which to their situation probably won't be bad for them. If they have a majority of these players stay in their program for 3 to 4 years and assuming that they're receiving high level coaching, development and experience, in the foreseeable future they'll become at least more competitive.<div>
</div><div>If the momentum continues, then adding other players with some seeing immediate playing time with others receiving more time for development, eventually they may have a shot at consistently winning anywhere from 5 to at best 7 games. That is of course if everything works out according to plan. At least... that's how I'm looking at things.</div>
