No talk by the haters on that HUGE win last night?

Huge for a number of reasons: <div>
</div><div>1-We didn't waste another awesome outing by Stratton.</div><div>2-Confidence in close games.</div><div>3-We have our RF back.</div><div>
</div><div>Feels good to have the pitching staff to win some Friday games in this league finally. </div>

throw our ace on fridays because we were just hoping to avoid a sweep most weekends. I didn't even check the scores back then b/c complacency had set in for me.

it's time to give Mitchell a shot. I know he didn't do too hot last weekend in relief, but he was damn good in the postseason last year as a starter. Also, I know Cohen likes all these young freshmen pitchers we have, but where has Pollerena been? I think he offers a good change of pace that we should utilize more. It worked ok for us last year.

Other schools and coaches do it all the time. The one biggest mystery to me about this team is why the hell Pollorena hasn't been pitching. He might have made the difference in a couple of our losses.

I think we ALL (well, except you) agree that the immaturity of our offense is what has caused us problems this year. Pitching is a huge strength.<div>
</div><div>What is your vendetta against Cohen? Did he **$+ your wife or something? You're nearing Coach34/Stans levels.</div>

He gave us huge innings last year, and is a great change of pace from the left side. He would be the perfect guy to bring in towards the end of one of our power right handers' outings, to face a few lefties in mid to late inning relief

Pitching has been a big strength for us this year, but the Sunday Arkansas game is a perfect example of a game we might have won if Pollorena had pitched. Unless something's just wrong with his arm (which is possible, but I don't remember hearing even any hints that he's having arm problems) he couldn't have done any worse than what we did in the 11th inning.

...I've wondered the same thing.

Obviously a pitcher is much more valuable than a freaking late inning outfield replacement who can't hit.

The coaches are not liking what they see is the only thing I can think. He didn't look great early against Memphis and WSU.

He pitched reasonably well against Alcorn this week. Maybe he will get on track.

runners on the paths, much less @ home. I've been wondering the same thing all year.

that's why I brought it up. The guy was a work horse for us last year. He's a crafty lefty that can locate and have hitters way out in front. With no mention of an injury, I'm completely baffled as to why he hasn't pitched more. I'm 100% behind Cohen by the way, so this has nothing to do with that.

Supposedly, pollorena has had trouble locating in bullpen sessions and the couple of games he had pitched before alcorn. Hopefully he gets his control back because we need an extra arm in the bullpen in these weekend series and when we start playing southern and Mississippi in the midweek.

....to this point in the season, our pitching staff has done a great job and Butch gets the credit for that. Especially Stratton. Hope it can hold up.

I mean when he has the stuff, he really has the stuff. But when he's not hitting his spots, he leaves it over the plate and he's essentially throwing batting practice for the other team.
