No talk of Calipari's recruiting violations at Memphis?

So lets see, Memphis loses their coach, their recruiting class, and now are likely going on probation. Sucks to be them. Kentucky better tell Calipari to cover his tracks better next time.

for years. Cal is the dirtiest of the dirty. It was just a matter of time before there was a slip-up. I'm very curious to know who turned them in. It has to be somebody local that isn't a Tiger homer. These players here live like rock stars, and have about as much "disposable income". It's almost comical in how blatant it was. Yet, it will be an SAT cheat that brings the house of cards down.

There are apparently some rumblings and rumors that he was fully aware of this and there might be some evidence of it this time. Calipari is the Jackie Sherrill of college basketball - cheats his *** off and manages to skip out of town before the **** hits the fan.

now that Cal has jumped ship, there are a lot of people more willing to sing about his level of involvement. Some of these retards here hate Calipari more than they love UofM.

Common sense tells you that he knew everything about what was going on with his top signee, but proving it is another story altogether.

Maybe it will give the NCAA an excuse to look into his current recruiting practices at UK.

I'm sure that John Wall and his other top recruits will be watched a lot more closely now. I'd be more concerned if I was a UK fan than anyone else.

According to reports, Memphis wont be on probation, they will have to vacate the 07-08 season and its wins. This is because Calipari isnt accused of recruiting violations as you suggest. If he were, then the program would be subject to penalties in the future.
A player is accused on having someone else take the SAT for him...Calipari hasnt been linked to setting that up or anything like that.

Splitting hairs? Sure seems like it, but its a significant difference. And Calipari could very well be shown to have known, which he will deserve all the **** in the world for having the top player in the country cheat on the SAT like that. But till then...

If the NCAA wants to do that on top of other stiffer penalties, fine. But taking away wins and banners is essentially saying we're going to allow your school to party like rockstars and then just pretend that none of it happened a few years from now. If the NCAA ever expects schools to actually properly monitor their athletic programs, they need to hit them where it hurts in the current and future years, not the past.

Since we lost to them in the second round does that mean that we should have made it to the second round that year?
