Well, if they improve it will be a surprise. I'd like last year, not missing anything. There were several games I turned off last year and refused to watch.

I read somewhere that schools are getting paranoid about players showing out in the spring game and getting poached.
Such is the state of the "student athlete" nowadays, particularly in football and basketball. How can there be any continuity in education if they are free to switch schools pretty much at the drop of a hat?

What should happen is to no longer pretend that they're students, and just have a minor league team that represents the universities.

Spring Games are becoming a thing of the past. If a player does well, you might have to renegotiate a deal and if a player struggles, he might go into the portal. That’s not even getting into an injury.

I'm not a practice watcher anyway so no loss. Sounds like a waste of an hour of tv time they could put something really good on and sell ads to

I wanted to see this new QB from Florida State. Oh well, I guess I'll look at the stats after the game...but wow, we blacked out our own spring game.
We wouldn’t have seen much anyway. Spring games are quickly becoming a relic from the past. I’d rather have 1 more practice & no spring game anyway. Even back when it was a real game, I went to the 1st one when I was a student & quickly realized it was boring & meaningless. Never went back.

I think they chose Vandy over us. Nashville's probably a little more exciting than Starkvegas. Plus, Vandy has moved ahead of us in SEC football prowess. Hope we don't pick them up in the next few years......might be the first time I wouldn't mind not having the Dores' on our football schedule.

Imagine wanting to watch a Spring game if you're not Texas or Ohio State or Michigan.

They did not.

Only a handful of Spring Games will be televised this year. It's not just us.

I like getting a taste of football in April but Spring "games" are pretty useless for anything other than watching backup players show out and then never get on the field in the Fall.
