They are 11th in rushing defense in the SEC @ 176/game...and that includes them playing Louisville, Akron, and W. Kentucky...

Secondly, they have got to be worn out to an extent- and are now traveling to play what should be a physical football team Saturday- their last 5 games:

@ Fla- gave up 48
@Miss- gave up 42
Auburn- gave up 37
SC- gave up 28 but SC had 370 yards of offense at<span style="text-decoration:underline"> halftime</span>
Georgia- gave up 44

We will be their 6th damn SEC game in a row

He said we will win, and even put a score. Does it look like a prediction to you?

UK's last 4 games they've scored over 30 points each time. But they've faced very mediocre defensive teams. We will be the best defense they've played all year.

The more we see of Hartline the better our D will look. If we see alot of Cobb in the wildcat, we could get torched. We have looked awful all year when facing a runner taking the snaps.</p>

Name an offense that has a true mobile threat other than LSU that's scored more than 17 points on us.

All of those teams have better passing attacks than we do.<div>
</div><div>Who knows how good UK's rush defense can be when they don't have to worry about the passing game?<div>
</div><div>Ole Miss beat them with only 90 yards of passing offense, but it wasn't a blowout and Kentucky almost came back and won that game (only losing by 7).</div></div><div>
</div><div>Georgia won by 13 with only 113 yards of passing offense.</div><div>
</div><div>From what we've done so far, I'd say we'd be lucky to get 90-100 yards in the air, so I'd expect it to be a one or two possession win.</div>

I think holding Ballard out when he could have gone was one of the things that contributed to our players having an "in the bag" mentality. Expect to see a heavy dose of Ballard early and often.

Yes Hat, that was a prediction</p>

I mean damn, Georgia threw 12 passes and scored 44 points- what part of "they can't stop the run" can you not figure out?
Mississippi completed 9 passes and scored 42 points

They give up almost 180 yards a game on average per game

Will they try to make us throw? Sure they will.

But that's been the question since the Spring. Can Ralph complete enough passes to keep the defense honest? Well, we're 6-2 and bowl bound. Apparently he has.

Of course we have to throw it some, but without him in the game, we also don't run it near as well as we do. It's the trade-off we have to live with. For a program that's in the middle of a rebuilding process, we seem to be doing pretty damn well.
