No wonder Kent Austin didn't transition to college well.

Wouldn't they just get the ball where the FG kicking team missed it?</p>

otherwise the kicking team can recover it for a TD and if it goes out of the end zone or they are tackled in the end zone, the kicking team gets one point. They could've either run it out of the end zone and kneeled or kicked it out

and let's say it's a 40 yarder or so, where there's a reasonable chance of a miss, are you telling me that the team on offense could put their kick-off specialist back there and get him to kick the **** out of it into the stands beyond the goalpost anywhere past the back line and that's credited as a point?

He tried to take Bironas's job (also from Auburn) with the Titans a few years ago in the preseason....damn near did it. I have no idea why the hell he's not playing in the league.

Because there's only 32 jobs for kickers and another 32 for punters, and the really good ones like the Morten Andersen's and Ray Guy's play forever. I think it's the hardest position to make it at in the league. MSU has had some good ones that didn't make it like Todd Jordan at punter and Jeff Walker.
