No wonder multiple offensive linemen agreed with Incognito...

...John Jerry and Mike Pouncey (as well as Incognito) also harassed Jonathan Martin, another lineman, and an assistant trainer.

I know some argue its just the culture of the game, but players s/b fined and suspended in the future when this kind of crap happens. Some ppl have different breaking points and I would hate to see someone go postal over stupid crap like this.

I'm calling shenanigans

This is a CYA by the league. The whole team agreed with Incognito, not just the OL.

I may seem like a insensitive ******* but I think Martin is a *****. You're six and a half feet tall and three hundred pounds. Stand up for yourself and don't be a *****. Don't be friends with the guys and go along with it then when you get sand in your ****** you text your mom and go public with it. I also saw that racial slurs were used. Now I was not surprised to see that an OM grad was involved in it but I was surprised to see he was African American. Still doesn't surprise me.

I kind of wonder what the NFL will do...

...if what Deadspin is reporting is right, there was also homophobic taunting of another player and an assistant coach took part in that taunting.

What with Michael Sam coming out and with the NFL Commissioner having a gay brother, I would not be surprised if the Dolphins would be penalized in some fashion.

NFL penalties likely won't be as severe as the Saints situation a couple years ago though since it's all internal. With that said, Martin's got a very good case what with the NFL backing him, the other player, and the assistant trainer.

No question that Martin, the other player, and the trainer all have the Dolphins and the NFL by the balls if they decide to sue. And no doubt that the NFL is going to crack down on what has always been the culture in the locker room.

Part of me wants to agree with you, but should people really be forced to physically defend themselves from abusive behavior in their places of employment?

That's pretty much where I stand at the moment. There's little doubt at this point that Martin's a fairly mentally weak individual, but for one... that's not necessarily his fault and two... that doesn't excuse the fact that we're dealing with a 30-year-old grown *** man who had been carrying on like a middle school bully. It's disturbing to me that someone of that age would still think it's ok to treat other people like that while considering it to be "toughening them up".

A former Ole Miss player made some homophobic comments? I eagerly await an article from Acey Roberts about this.

I get what you are saying but you are forgetting this isn't high school where you could just quit and it not be a major deal long term. This is a multi-million dollar job we are talking about. Expecting professionalism in that setting isn't exactly a crazy concept.

Their crisis intervention team will investigate and conclude it was the equipment manager that, in fact, made those comments. The former ole miss player was leading a bible study class at a homeless shelter at the time.
