Anybody hitting up Cooter Brown's for the game? I'll be there (with Dawgstudent) if I can convince him that The Bulldog (despite its namesake) is a ****** place to watch a game, especially compared to Cooter's.

I have a daughter recovering from surgery at Children's hospital. I have the morning-day shift. Provided she's not discharged early--in which case, I'll watch at home-- the wife will probably take the evening shift. I thus had expected to stop by Cooters since it's not too far away and I hadn't been there in ages. The Bulldog is fine for drinking and hanging out. You can do both at Cooters plus enjoy a game. And cheese fries.

I live in the quarter and wholeheartedly agree, bulldog is a crappy place, kangaroo bar is even worse. Cooter Browns is a great spot and Ill likely head over there.

I'm not in NOLA, but I'll vouch for Cooter Browns being a great place to watch a game. Plenty of beer, plenty of TVs, and plenty of seats for such a small place. I'm also a big fan of the "Manager's Special" poboy.

Hoping to get out of the office before tip-off, if not I'll be there at halftime. It really is the best place to watch games. Plus, the crowd shouldn't be too bad when our game starts, so seats should be fairly easy to snag.

Lucy's on Tchoupitoulas Street is better. Lot of locals and a bad *** bar with good drink specials.
