let you in the SEC, just like we wouldn't let USM in the SEC (as if that was a remote possibility).

to allow UF to block FSU from joining. 2 more schools are going to join the SEC, I think everyone agrees that's inevitable at this point. If the SEC lets FSU join it puts a lot of pressure on UNC to be the 16th member. FSU and UNC are much better additions than VTech and NCState imo. The state of Florida has 20 million residents, how many California schools are in the Pac12. At some point the financial benefit the other 13 SEC teams and the SEC itself would benefit by adding FSU has to outweigh the buddy pack the SEC has promised UF.

This Longhorn Network garbage and their demand for more of the revenue than the other teams is ridiculous. I'd literally join the Mountain West before jumping into that snake pit with Texas.

But it's really two things even more than that. FSU had their chance at the SEC back in 1991 and didn't take it. There's not going to be a second chance. And adding FSU doesn't add a new TV market like UNC and VA Tech would. Those are the real reasons FSU will never get another invite from the SEC.</p>

I've yet to hear a logical explanation for how the LHN is "unfair" to other Big 12 conference members. IMO, Texas A&M made it a MUCH bigger issue than it really was. They needed to create a stir for reason to leave the Big 12 without looking like they were just not able to compete against Texas, and they did agreat job. In reality,EACH school in the Big 12 has the ability to create their own network just like Texas did. That is what is great about owning your tier 3 rights. You don't have to start your own network; you could sell your tier 3 rights to a network like UF has done. UF sold their tier 3 rights to Sun Sports. The deal is for 10 years, $82 million dollars; $8.2 million per year on top of what the SEC conference TV (tier 1 and 2) payout is. I don't hear anyone in the SEC complaining about UF's deal like Texas A&M complains about Texas' $10-$15 million dollar deal from the LHN. That would be like one rival school complaining that their rival makes more money off of their memorabilia sales - Just like teams in the SEC and Big 12 have rights to their tire 3 games, so do they for their memorabilia sales. They shouldn't have to split it just because they are a more marketable school.SEC schools have the ability to create their own network, just like the Big 12. If anyone has a problem with the LHN, then you have a problem with owning your tier 3 rights, and therefore, have a problem with the SEC TV revenue structure - it's the exact same as the Big 12's. One of the biggest reasons FSU wants out of the ACC is because we do not have rights over our tier 3 games.
